The diary of a young girl

Context:
Holland, during the second world war. Hitler led the Nazi power since
1933, and after this life became difficult for Jews. Cause them were not
allowed to do many things, kind of jobs, their own property, they can’t
travel by bus or train, only go shopping in Jewish shops, had to be indoor
at eight o’clock at night, and lot of restrictions like that. At the same time
Germans started to arrest and kill Jews, a very hard epoch.

Summary:
It´s about young jew girl who lived in Holland with her parents and sister,
but for to the context of the second world war and the power of Hitler
managed by the Nazis, they decided to hide in the building where her
father worked with another family and a dentist for the insecurity because
the Nazis were killing Jews.

Introduction:
Anne Frank was and ordinary girl but with a non-ordinary life. She born in
Germany in 1929, was the second daughter of Otto and Edith Frank, a
Jewish family. They moved for their safety in 1933 but in 1940 all change
when Germany army enter the country. In July of 1942 when Anne was
13-year-old, she and her family had to hide from the Germans who had
invaded Holland, on the top floor of a building in Amsterdam. They stayed
there with other family and another man, eight people in a small place. In
that time Anne had packed her diary, who was begin a few weeks before
that and accompanied her during that time. This is the main character of
this real story.
Anne trough her diary tells us a lot of things that she lived during those
years, her feelings, experiences, fears, her relationship with her mom,
ambitions, her love interest Peter, and all the things that a teenager
usually lives, with the difference that she was living a dire situation. She
was a very brave little girl.

Characters (real persons):

Anne Frank
Otto Frank: Anne´s father
Edith Frank: Anne´s mother
Margot Frank: Anne´s sister
Mrs van Daan, Mr van Daan and Peter van Daan: the family hiding with
Anne and her family and Peter was her love interest
Mr Dussel: elderly dentist who joined the group in hiding in November
1942
Johannes Kleiman, Victor Kugler, Miep Gies and Bep Voskujil: They all help
the people that were hiding on the secret Annex

Important things about the writing of Anne:

Before the hiding she felt that she doesn´t have a real friend who
understand her. She used to have a normal life, she had good notes, love
interests, etcetera. When they left home, she only took their memories,
which seemed more important to her than their dresses. But she had to
left her cat.
Despite how difficult Anne was living, like they ran out of food, they slept
horrible cause the sound of guns and explosions, she was a very brave girl
and tried to see the good in the situation. During the hiding she studied
French and did her homework.
She lived difficult moments, like the discussions with her mother or Mrs
van Daan. Also they had to be quiet when they went to the toilet,
sometimes in dark places or without water.
In that place they had a radio, and sometimes they heard about the death
of some of their friends, that was hard. Nevertheless, they were excited
when they heard good news or hope for the future of the war.
Anne always felt sad for the rest of people that were suffer in the street or
being taken to concentration camps, she thought that she was lucky.
In that place she lived her period, humour change, bad coexistence,
discussions, she fell in love with Peter, had her first kiss, spend their
birthdays, she matures, but she needed freedom. And the most important
thing it´s that she wanted a future, she dreamed about being a journalist,
having a voice and be useful for the world.

Final:
In August a car arrived and discovered the secret hiding place and took
everyone to different concentration camps, Anne and her sister went to
Bergen Belsen concentration camp and that is where Anne died in
February or March 1944, but her father was the only one survivor.

What I think about the book and history:

I think that this history it’s so inspiring and brave, a young girl that have to
pass so difficult moments being so young, and nevertheless she was
thankful for having a place to stay, food and her family. The context of the
book it´s so hard and horrible that make me feel so sad for everyone who
had to live it. But I’m glad that Otto Frank could save all this memories of
Anne and share them with the world, the dream of his daughter, have a
voice and be someone for the people. I hope too that the book of Anne
Frank serves for us to learn about what do we not have to repeat.
I really liked it and I highly recommend it because it is a true and very
beautiful story but at the same time with a very hard and horrible context
that should be more widely known.
