NOTE
Certain component failures are capable of compromising multiple airplane
systems. It is possible that the root failure may not be annunciated or
otherwise apparent to the pilot. In these cases the pilot must respond
directly to the annunciated, or otherwise identified, system failures and
consult the AFM/Checklist for each corresponding individual abnormal
or emergency procedure. Where different procedures result in conflicting
aircraft configurations for safe recovery to landing, the most restrictive
is to be used. Where different procedures identify landing distance
factors to increase the required landing distance, the factors are additive
and are always applied to the applicable normal landing distance.

WARNING
Extending speed brakes prior to extending lift dump may result in roll spoiler, speed
brake and/or lift dump failures. Full or partial lift dump effectiveness may be lost.

ENGINE FIRE FIRE or FIRE
PUSH PUSH
WARNING
If the FIRE DET FAIL annunciator illuminates following
an ENG FIRE PUSH annunciation, the fire should be
considered to be still burning.
WARNING
Up to 220 lbs. of fuel may not be transferable from the
wing tank associated with the inoperative engine. Flight
planning allowances must be made for the decrease in
available fuel during single-engine operations.

If the FIRE DET FAIL annunciator illuminates without an ENG FIRE PUSH
switch illumination or any other clear indication of an engine fire:
1. Repair fault prior to the next flight.
WARNING

The autopilot is able to control the airplane in the event of an engine failure.
Adjust thrust on the operative engine as required to maintain the
desired airspeed or flight path..

WARNING
Landing with flaps 20 or DN will, in most cases, result in failure of both main tires
when brakes are applied. Select the longest runway available, considering wind
conditions. If main tires fail, maintain directional control with nosewheel steering.

When the trim interrupt (AP/TRIM MASTER) switch is engaged, all trim systems
except the standby pitch trim are interrupted and the autopilot and yaw damp are
disengaged. When the pitch, roll, or rudder trim selector switch is set to OFF, the
respective pitch, roll or rudder trim system will be inoperative.
TRIM MALFUNCTIONS

WARNING
If a trim or rudder boost system malfunction has
occurred, do not attempt to use the failed system.
If a roll or rudder trim system malfunction has occurred,
do not attempt to use the flight director or autopilot.
WARNING
Full or partial lift dump effectiveness is lost. Nearly continuous
brake system releases may initially occur due to
normal cycling of the antiskid system. Do not modulate
the brakes. Maximum braking effort must be maintained
until the airplane has stopped. Brake effectiveness will
increase as the airplane decelerates.
