The meeting was called to order by President Margie Herberger at 2:54 PM. Ten members were present.

• Permits for the new Pub, the Tap Inn, have been approved and all inspections completed. It is
scheduled to open March 1 and will be a members-only area.

more water for summer watering.

now on.
• There are seven new members from Picacho Mountain. Five are golf memberships. Some have not yet
moved to the area.
• Todd’s former office is now a storeroom, expanded out from the upstairs bar.
• There are several new wait staff members. Ashley is home on leave to have her baby and hopes to
return in two months.
• There is a new cook from the Double Eagle who specializes cooking steaks, etc.
• Transferrable memberships end in March. By April 1 there will be a dues increase. Information on
options and prices will be forthcoming in February.
• Hole 13 ladies tee box is being re-done per new survey of homeowner’s lot.
• Fish and Game personnel are dealing with the javelina population.
• When dining, members can charge to member numbers. Public will not be allowed to charge. In
addition, there will be a small white paper with the bill to identify member, number, and payment
method. Note: there will be no 18% tip added to members’ bills going forward.
• All future specialty dining nights must be RSVP’d in order to reserve your place. Word has spread and
the public reservations are increasing as of 2/1.

Treasurer’s Report: Karen

Emailed to members. There were no questions. Report and budget for 2024 were accepted as presented.

President’s Remarks:
Consult the website, phlga.weebly.com, for any and all information, dates, tournament information.
Bulletin Boards in locker room are all updated, as well.

Our next tournament is on Saturday, 2/10, “Party at the Mardi!” Be sure to sign up in the Pro Shop and
let them know your choice of lunch entrée, as well. Flyer with all info was emailed and is posted in
locker room, as well.
Directories were handed out today – those not at the meeting can pick theirs up at the Pro Shop, listed
by name. Extras are available for $1.00. Email Margie if you’d like another copy.

President’s Charity – resulted in a $900 donation to La Piñon. Margie read the thank you letter to the
group, which included the fact that they are seeking donations of new or gently-used toys, plus books
or blankets for their Children’s Advocacy Center. The office (for drop-offs) is on Motel across from the
County building.

Climate/Affability - Margie reminded all present that our group was formed for friendship and fun.
Any comments or complaints about other players should be brought to the officers – Margie, Lynn,
Judi, Karen. No one should be made to feel uncomfortable. Please be positive when playing and
socializing. Enjoy the sun, the beauty of the course, the camaraderie.

Border – Lori
Candy Baker, Lori’s alternate, reported that 2024 dues of $25 should be placed in the envelope in the locker
room by February 22. Flyer and entry form are posted on the bulletin board and were emailed to all. If you
need another, contact Margie.

Senior Women – We currently need a representative.

Lori has volunteered to be the rep if no one else will do so. Cheryl reported that once members join, the rest is
done electronically, so the job of rep is fairly simple. If you are interested in helping Lori, please let her know.
Flyer and entry form are posted on the back bulletin board and were emailed to all.

Birthdays:
Judi Richards, Donna Popky

Meeting was adjourned at 3:15.

Coming up: Nick has been invited to discuss local vs. tournament rules at the February meeting.
