Classroom
2. Preparing the schemes of work from an authorized syllabus and implement the planned work
effectively.
3. Evaluating teaching impact through oral questions written exercises, homework and tests.
4. Teach and educate students according to the educational needs, abilities and attainment potential of
individual students entrusted to his/her care by the Head of School.
5. Ensuring the full coverage of the schools prescribed curriculum in a manner that leaners demonstrate
understanding of concepts.
6. Preparing creative and practical lessons that include video watching, trips, experiments and projects
were applicable
7. Ensuring high standards of professional practice and quality of teaching and learning of the subject/s.
Through effective dialogue, participating in reciprocal peer review and observation of class teaching
practice by the Head of Department/ Headteachers or Principal concerned
8. Planning and implementation of remedial lessons for students who are in need.
11. Reviewing and evaluating one's own teaching and learning strategies, methodologies and
programme/s
12. Ensuring the safe custody and optimum use of equipment normally used by oneself during lessons
and sees to its regular servicing and maintenance;

General Duties
1. Adopting and working towards the implementation of the strategic plan of the school
3. Participating in all school activities which include but are not limited to assemblies, school functions
and trips
7. Monitoring pupils conduct inside and outside school premises on school activities
10. Providing guidance and advice to students on educational and social matters and on their further
education and future careers, providing information on sources of more expert advice;
11. Attending to pupils' grievances quickly and fairly with positive minds.
14. Participating in In-Service education and training courses as well as in continuing professional
development (CPD) opportunities, and taking part in action research exercises,
15. Participating in staff, group or other meetings related to the school curriculum or boarding
arrangements, for the better organization and administration of the school; 16. Contributing to the
professional development of new teachers and student teachers according to arrangements agreed with
the Head of School
17. Performs any duties assigned by authority especially in line with the school's interests.
