Introduction:
From the previous topic. I've learned that this program aims to promote and integrate
values education, transformational leadership, spirit of patriotism and nationalism and sustainable socila
mobalization for youth development, community building and national security. And also it is a program
aimed at enhancing civic consciousness and defense preparedness in the youth by developing ethics of
services patriotism while undergoing training .And it is also develop our social skill becuase we, student
will undergo certain training , team building and bonding activities , In addition , it will give us an idea
how the outside world works through immersion. This will be our guide training ground for our future
career. It train you to respond to present challenges, harnesing your instict for national services . This
program is very important for youth because it flames up the nationalism and patriotism in the heart of
students specially in these present times.
WHAT IS VOLUNTARISM AND ITS PURPOSE?
Voluntarism is the act , practice , or principle contributing one's time , talents , and resource freely to
worthwhile purposes without tangible compensation , it is considered the most fundamental act in the
society . It is geared toward good causes that help alleviate the suffering of others , it promotes peace ,
solidarity , and trust among citizens. Additonally, it helps hasten and strenghten community
development as it promotes active participation of individuals in different programs and projects
respond to the needs of community. Furthemore , it can serve in various areas ranging from medical ,
environmental, and educational support group to child protection human rights advocacies , poll or
election work , peace keeping missions, and relief operations , to name a few , voluntarism yeilds the
following benefits: Community development ; Development of the skills volunteers; Peace solidarity ,
and trust among citizens; Career oppurtunities to fo volunteers : friendship among citizens; and
experience and self -steem gained by volunteers .

To secure a clean invironment , pollution free sorroundings , promoting and adopting an

environmentally friendly school, initiate a clean up drive
The clean - up drive, was introduced to the students and encourage addoption of practices like recycling
, that can have a profound effect on waste management in the community , A clean - up drive can also
bring about the sense of community and responsibilty to keep our homes and common areas safe and
clean. Visible result might lead a heightened interest and inlovement among community members in
reducing garbage and food waste, and preserving the invironment
The said activity , truly signifies the importance of partner ship in creating a conductive learning
environment for the learners and in the community .
Literacy / Reading , As an inroduction to teach reading ,i deal with inside worlds of children (grade 1-4)
We pray first and do some dance , And i teach how to pronouce and read A, E, I, O, U.
Learning to read is a huge milestone in child's life , We all know how important a love of reading is for
future learning when children love to read , they can learn anything .
Feeding / gift giving, After i'm done teaching , i give them some snacks/ foods to make them happy and
i'm very happy that i got experience as a volunteer in our brgy. Which is BRGY. SAN JOSE. I'm so
thankful to those children who participate and i saw them enjoying themselves and i made them smile .
Giving food as a gift is an ancient tradition that was used to extend offers of friendship, to aid
negotiations, formalise treaties, show compassion, respect, and even establish dominance. Today, there
are still many cultures that place a high level of importance on hospitality and food gifts.
" THE OBJECTIVE OF CLEANING IS NOT JUST CLEANING, BUT TO FEEL HAPPINESS LIVING WITHIN THAT
INVIRONMENT."
"TEACHING IN READING THE GATEWAY FOR CHILDREN THAT MAKES ALL OTHER LEARNING POSSIBLE ."
" NO ONE HAS EVER BECOME POOR BY GIVING."
REFLECTION
This activity has allowed me to become a more producted individual concerning how to care for and be
responsible for our community and invironment. It' s a pleasure that i served our community by cleaning
i am happy becuase we experience that kind of activity and we have a bonding of my classmates.
I would like to think of my self as the inspirational and catalyst for student. But i know in reality that
children , who are intially turned by me, will eventually leave me on the outside as they pursue further
knowledge , i dissapear as the child gallops into the mysteries of new worlds , tha stimulus for learning
lives inside ourslves.
People say when you give sacrifice your time for others , you are also sacrificing a part of your life for
them . With that , i agree because that was how i felt joining feeding or giving some foods, but it is a
feeding a whole community willing to go this far to praise and thank the lord, it was heart touching
experience like this activity .
