WATER / H2O FACTS
Some of The Healthiest Waters in the World are:
1. Lourdes in France, pH 8.2
2. Trinity Water from Idaho, USA, pH 9.6
3. Hunza Water from Tibet, pH 8.0-9.0
4. Nome Water Ontario Canada, pH 8.6
4
15. Most cities rely on aging distribution systems to carry water to consumers. Older pipes often develop leaks that
can lead to cross contamination with surface water and wastewater.
16. Researchers estimate that 450 pounds of inorganic minerals and industrial pollutants are ingested by an
individual through the drinking water he/she consumes in a lifetime.
17. Caffeine from coffee, tea, soft drinks and alcohol amongst few others are diuretics, they dehydrate the body!
Also these drinks are ACIDIC.
18. It has been estimated that 75% of North Americans are chronically dehydrated and fail to drink the
recommended daily amount of at least 8 cups.
19. A 10 minute hot shower with chlorinated water is equivalent to drinking 8 glasses of the same water, absorption
is one problem but our worst exposure is from the inhalation of the toxic chlorine gas containing Chloroform,
THM and TCE.
20. The blood’s ideal pH Level – 7.365
21. Water/food around this level of alkalinity nourishes, cleanses & energizes the body
22. Water/food which is acidic intoxicates, clogs & deprives the body of energy
23. The blood’s pH Level cannot become and remain acidic – or you get sick or even die! Being to acidic = ill
health!
Our body is composed of 70% water and this total amount is replaced every 15 days! 75% of the
weight of our upper body is supported by the water volume that is stored in the disc cores
(especially the 5th lumbar disc)
5
HOW MUCH WATER DOES YOUR BODY REQUIRE?
A more recent measurement of the required daily intake of water is measured in ounces and can be calculated by
taking half of your weight in lbs. Then add 1 cup for each hour of strenuous activity.
• Fruits and vegetables are a very good source of water. Cantaloupe and melons contain more than 90 per cent
water, as do leafy vegetables such as lettuce. Kiwis, another great source of water, contain essential
electrolytes such as potassium and magnesium.
• At birth our body is 90 per cent water, decreasing to 75 per cent hydration by the age of three. As we grow
older, water levels can dip as low as 65 per cent.
• All of our vital organs utilize water to function properly. Your body can use up to 3 liters a day.
• Between seven and 11 quarts of water are needed just for proper digestion.
• The body uses about a pint of water every day solely through exhalation.
• The skin is the largest organ of elimination and under dry conditions; the body loses up to a quart an hour
through perspiration alone.
• For every quart of water passed through the kidneys, 1-½ ounces of waste are carried with it.
STAGES OF DEHYDRATION
∗If you drink water only when you’re mouth is dry, you are already dehydrated!
1% thirst *
5% slight fever
8% no saliva production, glands stop working
10% inability to walk
12% FATAL

WATER OPTIONS
MUNICIPALY TREATED WATER – Health Hazard
BOILING WATER –
• Does not purify! Not effective - Inconvenient, energy/time consuming. Little taste
improvement.
• Must boil for 20 minutes to kill harmful bacteria (cysts & viruses) in emergency
situations.
• Does not reduce particulates (heavy metals, sediments, toxic chemicals) and organic
compounds.
• Can concentrate some forms of chlorine actually making them more toxic
BOTTLED WATER
• Expensive, inconvenient and questionable and creates a landfill problem.
• Produced from spring, mineral, tap, distilled or well waters…
• The quality is not regulated very well, very loose standards.
• May still contain bacteria, organics and in-organics.
• Plastic leaches into the water.
• Very acidic, expensive and bottled waters can contain bacteria after weeks on the
shelf
7
• Chlorine, heavy metals & organics reduced. No channeling. Can filter down to 0.2
microns.
SOFTENING – Not recommended for drinking and usually creates ACIDIC water.
• Passes over bed of resin. Exchanges calcium and magnesium for sodium.
• Effective in reducing Ca++ and Mg++.
• Adds sodium. Does not remove organics, metals or microbes.
1. DISTILLATION
• Water heated to steam and then condensed, leaving contaminants behind.
• Slow, noisy energy/time consuming and creates a very ACIDIC water 5.0 Ph
• Reduces chlorine, heavy metals, viruses & bacteria.
• Contaminants such as chloroform (carcinogen) which have a lower boiling point than
water will remain in the end product.
• Can leach minerals from your body.
• May increase concentration of small organics
• Removes 90-99% of impurities
• Because water is boiled re-mineralizing dead water not effective
• Creates heat within the room where the unit is running
• Takes 1-4 hours to produce 1 gallon of water – can be inconvenient
• 1 of only 2 ways to purify water
• can be very expensive for larger units
‘LIVING’ WATER
Purified water that is enhanced with natural properties such as crystals, magnetics,
natural food or vegetation sources such as active minerals and even positive human
energy
* Please Note: Distilled is purified water but studies show that attempts at re-mineralizing distilled
water and absorbing and utilizing the minerals is of minimal benefit to humans.
8
Reverse Osmosis water that is re-mineralized from lemon, coral calcium, trace minerals, and
from natural vegetation…is of great benefit.
Vitalized by magnetic energy. Breaks down the large clusters of molecules into smaller ones,
makes water more easily absorbed into the cells.
Filtration occurs through stainless steel screens, fine silk screens, 2 different carbon filters and
coral sand chips which filter unhealthy substances down to the size of 0.1 micron.
Removes bacteria, heavy metals and organic matters like chlorine.
Ceramic balls ionize and add essential minerals and nutrients back into the water.
Ceramic stones and clay reflect far-infra red energy back into the water.
Creates alkaline water with a pH > 7 which carries more oxygen than acidic water.
Improves taste and odor.
Great for your body (through cooking, drinking and bathing), plants and animals.
Cost effective.
HEXAGONAL WATER - The best form of water for good health is hexagonal water. This is a structure
of water that is comprised of 6-sided molecule that forms a circle in structure and resembles a diamond
crystal in shape and look. Research in Korea has shown that this is the type of water that exists in a
healthy, living body and is a common factor in the healthiest most energized living waters tested. By
creating hexagonal water we are drinking water that is more natural and easily used by the body.
OXYGENATED WATER - Oxygenated water supplies plenty of oxygen directly and promptly to the
body's cells. Studies have shown that oxygenated water enhances athletic performance, improves
cardiovascular and muscle endurance and reduces recovery time after exercise. Very few waters are
properly re-oxygenated or oxygenated enough to provide noticeable benefit.
TYPES OF WATER
PPM = parts per million TDS = Total dissolved solids
• The Lower the PPM the purer the water. There are some exceptions such as
energized and alkaline healing waters such as Lourdes of France, Hunza Water from
Pakistan, Trinity Water and Nome Water
1. MINERAL/SPRING/HARD
- Excess in-organic minerals such as lime salts, calcium, magnesium….
- Even young children are showing minerals deposits in their tissues
- They block cells from working properly, harden arteries and contribute to joint deposits
- Soaps do not lather
2. SOFT
- Sodium when it comes in contact with hard minerals removes them and makes water softer
- Less electricity used on appliances
- 20% less soap
3. SNOW/RAIN
- Can be radioactive, Strontinium-90, air pollutants…
- Just melt and see the impurities left
9
- In a clean environment – OK
4. DISTILLED

THE POWER OF ‘LIVING’ WATER
Q & A - Most Commonly Asked Water Questions
Simple Water filters only filter 0.1microns vs. a Reverse Osmosis system which filters down to .0001
microns! This is why R.O. is purified water and filter systems take out about 10-20% of contaminants.
R.O. systems have 3-5 or more filters starting at 0.1 for the carbon block, sediment filters and post filters.
The main R.O. filter will be .001 or even .0001 in size micron filter. This will eliminate 90-99% of the
contaminants in the water!
This should bring the PPM done to 20 or less. A simple filter system will not alter the PPM very much
although it will remove some heavy metals and some contaminants. Where there are literally thousands of
pollutants in the water, I would highly recommend removing as much as possible! Anything less than
Distilled [not recommended] or Reverse Osmosis is like putting a band-aid on a broken bone! Basically
it’s better than nothing!
Q: Is Chlorine harmful?
A: Yes! 100% Common sense is that the only thing the human body benefits from is living whole foods. I
have never ever seen that chemicals whether chlorine, synthetic colors, preservatives were listed on the
RDA (recommended daily allowance) in any country in the world! Bottom line is why put in the human
body something that is foreign and told by authorities that a little will not hurt the body. If you consume a
small amount of water daily and a small amount of foods with preservatives and a small amount of skin
care with chemicals, where does it stop? People are consuming small amounts of so many harmful
elements and we wonder why disease, cancers and people are so ill!
Chlorine was first added to a community water system in 1908 in Chicago and was instrumental in
eliminating many types of water-borne disease such as Cholera and Typhoid fever. Prior to chlorination,
many major cities had death tolls of 1 in 1000 people from Typhoid alone. Chlorine has been used to
disinfect municipal water for over 80 years and has had some positive effects on public health. In the
1970 it was discovered that chlorine, when added to water, forms Trihalomethanes (chlorinated by-
12
products) by combining with certain naturally occurring organic matter such as vegetation and algae. In
1992 the American Journal of Public Health published a report that showed a 15% to 35% increase in
certain types of cancer for people who consume chlorinated water. Most of the effects were due to
showering in chlorinated water. The National Cancer Institute reports cancer risks for people who
consume chlorinated water to be 93% higher than for people who do not shower in chlorine!
The effects of drinking chlorinated water have been debated for decades. However, most experts now
agree that there are some significant cancer risks related to consuming chlorine and chlorinated by-
products.
Please remember that most swimming pools use chlorine. A safer alternative is Bromine and or ozone!
So please minimize your swimming pool habits if chlorine is present!
Some cities are now using ozone which removes bacteria viruses by injecting a safe natural gas.
Hopefully all cities and countries will use this as a safer method than chlorine.
The best methods are; shower filter, bath ball (100% removal) and/or a whole house Carbon Filter unit!
As well it is not recommended to use drinking water filters on hot water due to the potential for leakage.
The soft rubber tubing on most systems and the o-ring seals can soften and create leaks when exposed to
13
hot water. Most systems are rated for water temperatures up to 90 degrees.
Shower filters can be used with water up to 115 degrees, 100 to 104 is normal shower temperature.
I prefer a good Reverse Osmosis water system because at least it is not boiled and will have more energy
than distilled water. I don’t even recommend cleansing or fasting detoxification programs on just distilled
water as it could upset someone’s electrolyte balance! But please add some form of energy to Reverse
Osmosis water whether some lemon drops or exposure to sunlight.
14
Q: How do you know if there are contaminants in your water?
A: All public water systems contain some level of one or more unhealthful chemicals. Regulations only
require periodic testing of about 86 chemicals. There are now more than 75,000 chemicals used in our
society with over 1000 new ones being developed each year. Contaminant levels fluctuate throughout the
year making it impossible to know the actual level of contamination in a central water system. So far over
2100 toxic chemicals have been detected in America water systems. The risk is high and the cost for a
sure solution is low.
Water is unfortunately NOT FREE! Take control of your water. PLEASE use a water purification POU
(Point Of Use) system!
Q: Is it good to use silver to prevent bacteria from growing inside the filter?
A: No, silver is used in some systems to reduce bacteria growth, however, silver is a toxic metal that can
leach into the filtered water. The type of bacteria (heterotrophic) that can colonize on carbon media is a
very slow growing bacteria and is typically only a problem with filters that are used for 12 months or
longer without cartridge replacement.
Q: If my municipal water company Annual Water Quality Report shows that it meets all EPA
guidelines, does that mean it is safe?
A: The Bottom line is… the only way to make sure you are consuming pure fresh water is to
make your own from your own quality filter system!
Even though water is tested at the water treatment plants daily, the water you eventually get at your home
has to travel a long way. Who knows what it could come in contact with along the way!
October 1st 1999 a new federal law went into effect that requires water utilities to send each customer a
detailed report showing what is in their water, appropriately called The Right to Know Amendment. Any
level of contamination in our drinking water represents a danger to one’s health. Of the over 75,000 toxic
chemicals used in society, the EPA has set standards (MCLs) for only 86! And those 86 Maximum
Contaminant Levels are only based on limited health studies on consumption of one certain chemical by a
175 lb. adult. No consideration is given to the effects on small children or the combined effects of two or
more contaminants, which some studies show can be magnified by as much as 1000 times! Nobody
knows how many toxic chemicals could actually be in most tap water. According to the Ralph Nader
Research Group, after reviewing thousands of pages of EPA documents acquired through the Freedom of
Information Act, more than 2100 toxic chemicals have already been detected in U.S. water supplies. I
have read as much as 7,000 Chemicals! Virtually all public water systems have some level of
contamination. Steroid and estrogen hormone residues are even in the water! Is it any wonder there are so
many people in North America who are infertile! The water utilities are usually quick to point out that the
chemicals found in their water are below EP Maximum Levels, and in most cases they are.
The fact is that even the smallest trace of a toxic chemical can cause damage usually to kidneys, bladder and
nervous system and our hormones! And even damage our DNA! Science is just now starting to realize to what
extent. In a recent report from the National Cancer Institute to the Surgeon General it was stated that NO
level of exposure to a chemical carcinogen should be considered toxicologically insignificant to
15
humans, I think we are learning the hard way the truth of this statement. I Hope everyone makes the
CHOICE to take control of their personal consumption by purifying their own water!
Q: What are some good web sites to find documentation on water problems?
A: NRDC.org (Natural Resources Defense Council), EWG.org (Environmental Working Group),
EDF.org (Environmental Defense Fund), and CDC.gov (Center for Disease Control) are all good
informational sites with numerous documented studies on water problems.
North Americans increasingly are turning to bottled water, making it a $4 billion-a-year business in the
United States. Millions of us are willing to pay 240 to over 10,000 times more per gallon for bottled water
than we do for tap water -- though we probably rarely think of it that way. However, some bottled water
contains bacterial contaminants, and several brands of bottled water contain synthetic organic chemicals
(such as industrial solvents, chemicals from plastic, or trihalomethanes (thm) – the by-products of the
chemical reaction between chlorine and organic matter in water) or inorganic contaminants (such as
arsenic, a known carcinogen) in at least some bottles (see Chapter 3 and our accompanying Technical
Report). Moreover, as Chapter 4 documents, bottled water regulations have gaping holes, and both state
and federal bottled water regulatory programs are severely under funded. In Chapter 5 we present
evidence that there is substantially misleading marketing of some bottled water, and in Chapter 6 we
argue that consumers should be informed about the contaminants found in the water they purchase.
NRDC's major findings and recommendations are summarized below.
According to current regulations, bottled water may be represented as "spring" or "mineral" water only if it
originates from an underground source which is not part of a community water supply. The water must be naturally
fit for human consumption at its point of origin and may not be subjected to any treatment that would modify the
original chemical composition of the water. The only treatments permitted include carbonation, the addition of
ozone as a disinfecting agent or fluoridation to prevent dental cavities. Generally, mineral water contains a larger
amount of dissolved mineral salts than spring water.
16
Bottled water that is not labeled as "spring" or "mineral" may be from any source and can be treated to make it fit
for human consumption or to modify its original composition. The label of these waters must show how they have
been treated. The following product names must appear on the label:
• "Distilled Water" - when the treatment includes distillation (i.e. vaporization and condensation);
• "Demineralized Water"- when the treatment, by means other than distillation, results in the mineral
content being reduced to less than 10 parts per million
• "Carbonated Water" - when the water contains added carbon dioxide, making it effervescent.
Bottled waters that do not fit into one of the above categories, and do not qualify to be represented as spring or
mineral water, may be named by any other appropriate term which is accurate and not misleading.
Bottled water is water which has been packaged in sealed containers for human consumption. It includes water
represented as "spring" water or "mineral" water and water from various other sources that may have been treated
to make it fit for human consumption.
On average Canadians consumed 21.2 litres of bottled water per year in 1997 (Western Grocer Magazine,
March/April, 1999). Total value of shipments increased six times in ten years to about $Over $500 million annually
in Canada. The average person can spend $500 a year or more on bottled water. One can purchase a reverse
osmosis water system for that and have quality water for a family of 4 for a year!
Like any prepackaged food, bottled water must carry the following basic labeling information:
• common name
• list of ingredients if it consists of more than one ingredient
• net quantity
• name and address of the company responsible.
17
Could bottled water have bacteria in it?
Bottled water is not a sterile product. However, it is required to be free of disease causing organisms. Like most
foods, bottled water may contain naturally occurring bacteria which typically have little or no health significance.
But bottled water that is purified by reverse osmosis or distillation can start to harbor bacteria after as little as 2
weeks. Fresh pure water is the best answer. Your own system or purchasing from a reverse osmosis water machine
in a reputable health store is fine for those who cannot have their own in house system.
Manufacturers and importers of bottled water are required to ensure that their products continually meet the
Canadian health and safety standards. Quality standards for bottled and municipal waters are similar. Both bottled
and municipal waters that meet or exceed their required health and safety standards are considered to be safe. At the
present time, no waterborne disease outbreaks have been associated with drinking bottled water in Canada.
I highly recommend, particularly those susceptible to illness or disease should consider only purified reverse
osmosis water. This recommendation applies to infants, pregnant women, the frail elderly and those whose
immune system has been weakened by disease, surgery or therapy.
Examine the bottles closely before purchasing and buy only bottles where the seal is unbroken. Make sure the water
is clear and free of debris. The consumer should avoid refilling old bottles unless they have been properly cleaned
and sanitized. Avoid bottled water with a lot of bubbles. This could signify the water has been sitting for months.
Water should always be stored in well-sealed containers. Large quantities of bottled water may be stored in a cool,
dark storage area such as a basement or warehouse. As with other foods, if bottled water is being stockpiled in long
term storage, care should be taken to rotate the inventory so that no product in storage will exceed its shelf life.
Most bottled water manufacturers indicate that their product has a two-year shelf-life.
Avoid direct sunlight to bottled waters stored in plastics. Avoid heat above 100F in plastic stored waters.
Bottled water is considered to be a food product and is regulated under the Food and Drugs Act and Regulations.
These regulations include requirements for microbiological quality, composition and labeling. Like any
prepackaged consumer product, bottled water is also subject to the requirements of the Consumer Packaging and
Labeling Act and Regulations.
Health Canada establishes health and safety standards for the bottled water sold in Canada through the Food and
Drugs Act. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) enforces these standards. The CFIA also sets and
enforces requirements under both of the above-mentioned Acts to protect consumers against fraud in relation to the
composition, packaging, labeling and advertising of bottled water. As part of its enforcement role, CFIA can
inspect products, labels, and establishments involved in the sale, manufacture and distribution of bottled water. In
addition, some provincial and municipal ministries and agencies may regulate and inspect bottled water
18
Distilled Water Not Ideal For Humans
During nearly 19 years of clinical practice I have had the opportunity to observe the health effects of drinking
different types of water. Most of you would agree that drinking unfiltered tap water could be hazardous to your
health because of things like
• parasites
• chlorine
• fluoride
• dioxins
Many health fanatics, however, are often surprised to hear me say that drinking distilled water on a regular,
daily basis is potentially dangerous. Paavo Airola wrote about the dangers of distilled water in the 1970's when it
first became a fad with the health food crowd.
Distillation is the process in which water is boiled, evaporated and the vapour condensed. Distilled water is free of
dissolved minerals and, because of this, has the special property of being able to actively absorb toxic substances
from the body and eliminate them. Studies validate the benefits of drinking distilled water when one is seeking to
cleanse or detoxify the system for short periods of time (a few weeks at a time).
Fasting using distilled water can be dangerous because of the rapid loss of electrolytes (sodium, potassium,
chloride) and trace minerals like magnesium, deficiencies of which can cause heart beat irregularities and high
blood pressure. Cooking foods in distilled water pulls the minerals out of them and lowers their nutrient value.
Distilled water is an active absorber and when it comes into contact with air, it absorbs carbon dioxide, making it
acidic. The more distilled water a person drinks, the higher the body acidity becomes.
According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, "Distilled water, being essentially mineral-free, is very
aggressive (acidic), in that it tends to dissolve substances with which it is in contact. Notably, carbon dioxide from
the air is rapidly absorbed, making the water acidic and even more aggressive. Many metals are dissolved by
distilled water."
Water research has come a long way. Reverse Osmosis water was invented by NASA and not available to some of
the pioneers in the health profession. Bragg, Walker, and Shelton are legends in health, but we now know
there is better water than distilled.
Distilled water is fine for detoxing or working to heal a serious health challenge for a limited short period of time.
To quote Dr. Zoltan Rona, who feels the same way:
"Distillation is the process in which water is boiled, evaporated and the vapor condensed.
Fasting using distilled water can be
dangerous because of the rapid loss of electrolytes (sodium, potassium, chloride) and trace minerals like
magnesium, deficiencies of which can cause heart beat irregularities and high blood pressure. Cooking foods in
distilled water pulls the minerals out of them and lowers their nutrient value."
Dr. Gabriel Cousens, living foods advocate who writes on page 509 of his book "Conscious Eating," "distilled
water is dead, unstructured water so foreign to the body that one actually gets a temporary high white blood cell
count in response to drinking it."

Plastic Identification; Recycling code
When working with plastics there is often a need to identify which particular plastic material has been used for a
given product. Most consumers recognize the types of plastics by the numerical coding system created by the
Society of the Plastics Industry in the late 1980s. There are six different types of plastic resins that are commonly
used to package household products. The identification codes listed below can be found on the bottom of most
plastic packaging.
PETE #1
Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) - Soda & water containers, some waterproof packaging. Recycling PET is
similar to the polyethylenes (PE). Bottles may be color sorted and are ground up and washed. Unlike polyethylene,
PET sinks in the wash water while the plastic caps and labels are floated off. The clean flake is dried and often
repelletized. Recycled PET has many uses and well established market for this useful resin. By far, the largest
usage is in textiles. Carpet companies can often use 100% recycled resin to manufacture polyester carpets in a
variety of colors and textures. PET is also spun like cotton candy to make fiber filling for pillows, quilts and
jackets. PET can also be rolled into clear sheets or ribbon for VCR and audiocassettes. In addition a substantial
quantity goes back into the bottle market.
HDPE #2
High-Density Polyethylene - Milk, detergent & oil bottles, Toys and plastic bags. HDPE is called natural since that
is it's natural color, and it is the most valuable because it can be made into any color when it is recycled. Other
products are often packed in brightly colored bottles which are mixed together at recycling plants into mixed color
or rainbow bales. Most of this material is later dyed black after it is processed. Recycling HDPE is a pretty simple
process. The bales are broken apart and ground into small flakes. These flakes are then washed and floated to
removed and heavy (Sinkable) contaminants. This cleaned flake is then dried in a stream of hot air and may be
boxed and sold in that form. More sophisticated plastic plants may reheat these flakes, add pigment to change the
color and run the material through a pelletizer. This equipment forms little beads of plastic that can then be reused
in injection molding presses to create new products. Some end uses for recycled HDPE are plastic pipes, lumber,
flower pots, trash cans, or formed back into non food application bottles.
V Vinyl/Polyvinyl #3
Chloride (PVC) - Food wrap, vegetable oil bottles, blister packages.
LDPE Low-Density #4
Polyethylene - Many plastic bags. Shrink wrap, garment bags. It is chemically similar to HDPE but it is less dense
and more flexible. Most polyethylene film is made from LDPE which you often see as plastic bags and grocery
sacks. This scrap may be clear or pigmented and it is hand sorted and baled at recycling processing plants.
Recycling LDPE is very similar to HDPE except special grinders are used to handle the thin films. The films are
often washed and repelletized or used directly to make new products. Some end uses for recycled LDPE are plastic
trash bags and grocery sacks, plastic tubing, agricultural film, and plastic lumber.
PP Polypropylene #5
- Refrigerated containers, some bags, most bottle tops, some carpets, some food wrap.
PS Polystyrene #6
- Throwaway utensils, meat packing, protective packing.
OTHER #7
Usually layered or mixed plastic. No recycling potential - must be landfilled.
These symbols are meant to indicate the type of plastic, not its recyclability.
Types 1 and 2 are commonly recycled.
Type 4 is less commonly recycled. The other types are generally not recycled, except perhaps in small test
programs. Common plastics polycarbonate (PC) and acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) do not have recycling
20
numbers. Chemical engineers will say that there are many more types and uses for polymers. But most debate in
recycling focuses on these seven categories.
Uncoded Plastics
Plastic consumer goods not identified by code numbers are not usually collected. Plastic tarps, pipes, toys,
computer keyboards, and a multitude of other products simply do not fit into the numbering system that identifies
plastics used in consumer containers. There are actually thousands of different varieties of plastic resins or mixtures
of resins. These are developed to suit the needs of particular products. There is limited recycling of some of these
specific plastic products in truckload quantities from industrial sources. No one has entered the business of
collecting a variety of these plastics in small quantities.
Bottled Waters
* No government regulations, makes bottled waters quality uncertain? * Must coordinate water usage with
delivery service
* Unknown freshness? Bottled waters can harbor bacteria two weeks after being bottled
* Very expensive. 4-10x the cost, compared to owning your own water purification system!
* Inorganic, dead minerals in unpurified tap and spring waters do not get easily absorbed by the human
body and may cause kidney stones, acidic blood, hardening of the arteries, osteoporosis and brittle bones
by depleting body’s calcium.
Water Softeners
Without a Water Softener * Hard water has hard minerals, calcium and magnesium
* Excess minerals/hardness in the water damages water pipes. Higher hydro bills, as it takes longer for the
hot water heater to heat up
