PROBLEM STATEMENT
1.SYNTHETIC CHEMICALS IN FABRIC CONDITIONERS POSE ENVIRONMENTAL RISKS, PROMPTING A NEED FOR SUSTAINABLE
ALTERNATIVES.
2. ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION AND POTENTIAL HEALTH EFFECTS RESULT FROM THE PREVALENT USE OF SYNTHETIC
COMPOUNDS.
4. DEMAND FOR ECO-FRIENDLY PRODUCTS IN THE TEXTILE INDUSTRY HIGHLIGHTS A NEED FOR GREENER ALTERNATIVES.
5. THIS STUDY AIMS TO IDENTIFY AND ASSESS THE VIABILITY OF GUMAMELA AND YLANG-YLANG EXTRACTS AS ECO-
FRIENDLY COMPONENTS IN FABRIC CONDITIONERS.

GROUP 4
“An Investigation study on gumamela extract
and ylang-ylang extract as alternative
component in making fabric conditioner.”
OBJECTIVES
1. *Evaluate Color Quality:* Assess the color properties of fabric conditioner
formulations containing gumamela and ylang-ylang extracts, comparing
them to conventional synthetic formulations.
2. *Examine Absorption Characteristics:* Investigate the absorption
attributes of the fabric conditioner with gumamela and ylang-ylang extracts
to determine its effectiveness in providing fabric softening qualities.
3. *Analyze Stick Consistency:* Evaluate the stick consistency of the fabric
conditioner formulations, examining their texture and adherence properties,
and compare them with traditional counterparts.
1. *Gumamela Extract:* Concentrated solution from the Hibiscus rosa-sinensis plant, used in fabric conditioner
for its natural properties.
2. *Ylang-Ylang Extract:* Aromatic oil from the Cananga odorata tree, added to fabric conditioner for its
botanical essence.
3. *Fabric Conditioner:* A laundry product enhancing fabric softness, typically applied during the rinse cycle.
4. *Color Quality:* Visual appearance and hue characteristics of the fabric conditioner.

and ylang-ylang extract as alternative
component in making fabric conditioner.”
DEFINITION OF TERMS
5. *Absorption Characteristics:* The ability of fabric conditioner to be absorbed by
fabrics, influencing its softening effectiveness.
10. *Generalizability:* The extent to which study findings can be applied to a broader
context, considering limitations and variations.
