Fan Unit Replacement

HVS-2000-2SI is a software option that allows you to use 4K-2SI mode in the HVS-2000.

If HVS-200-2SI software is installed in the HVS-2000, the fan units need to be replaced. (Fan units
are included with HVS-2000-2SI software.)
This installation guide explains how to replace front and rear fan units in an HVS-2000.

Features
 1080/59.94p and 1080/50p are supported in 4K 2SI signal input/output.

Check your received items against the packing list below. Check to ensure no damage has
occurred during shipment. If damage has occurred, or items are missing, inform your supplier
immediately.

Fan unit replacement should only be done by qualified technical personnel.

Before installing cards, turn the HVS-2000 power OFF and unplug the
power cords.

1. Replacing Fan Units
 Replace the Front Fan Unit
(1) Release the two screws on both sides securing the front panel to remove the panel.

(2) Remove the two screws on the left, front fan unit.
(3) Hold and pull the fan unit handle out.

(4) Insert a new front fan unit into the slot until it locks in place.
(5) Tighten the two screws on the fan unit.
(6) Tighten the two screws on both sides to secure the front panel to the chassis.

 Replace the rear fan unit
(1) Remove the four screws on the right, rear fan unit.
(2) Hold and pull the fan unit handle out.

(3) Insert a new rear fan unit into the slot until it locks in place.
(4) Tighten the four screws on the fan unit.

2. Checking the Menu

Connect power cords and power ON the switcher system. Check that the fan units have been
properly replaced.

① Open [STATUS > ALARM] menu.

② Check that "NORMAL" is displayed for FAN1 to FAN4. (See the figure below.)
