B. PROFILE OF THE PROGRAM

I. Title of the Program:


CONDUCT OF THE IN-SERVICE TRAINING FOR TEACHERS (INSET) FOR SCHOOL YEAR
2023-2024

II. Rationale
A School In- Service Training cum workshop in strengthening or upgrading teachers’
methodologies, techniques and skills in acquiring or achieving result-oriented teaching and
enhancing the proficiency level of the learners in school. It serves as an avenue to teachers which
enhance their personal and professional growth in order to yield better outcomes in the
workplace.
Furthermore, in the continuous pursuit of excellence in providing quality professional
development programs for teachers the training will allow teachers to self- assess their
performance against competency standard in order to identify areas of strength as well as areas
that need to be developed in order for them to function more effectively as facilators of learning.
III. Program Description
INSET refers to a modality of professional development intervention organized either at
the school ( school-based INSET) or division/ district level (cluster – based INSET) to address and
resolve areas of need identified by the teachers or school leaders to continuously improve their
competencies. INSET classes are participatory and should be offered to small groups to maximize
impact on teacher and school leader quality.

 Leading in designing and managing responsive support for curriculum implementation


through efficient and effective programs, projects and activities aligned with curriculum
standards.
 Modelling exemplary skills in the provision of technical assistance by designing and
implementing responsive interventions based on quality assurance and monitoring and
evaluation results.
 Optimize skills to select develop organize and use of appropriate teaching and learning
learning resources to address learning goals.
 Appreciate the DepEd Computerization Program by understanding its history, concept,
and current and upcoming activities.
 Get acquainted with Microsoft 365, including advances productivity tools, learning
accelerators, and artificial intelligence in education.
 Onboard themselves with other learning and development endeavors regarding DCP
adoption.
