Zimbabwe Youth Advanced Guidance (ZYAG)

Definition

Zimbabwe Youth Advanced Guidance is a non-profit organisation dedicated to


providing advanced guidance support to students and youths in Zimbabwe. The
organisation is committed to empower young individuals during their transition from
youth to adulthood, enabling them to realize their full potential and shape their future
in a way that benefits the entire nation. By offering comprehensive guidance and
resource, the organisation aim to assist students and youths in achieving their personal
aspirations while aligning their endeavors with the broader national interests of
Zimbabwe.

Problem Statement

Despite the immense potential of Zimbabwe students and youths, there exists a
significant gap in comprehensive guidance and support that hinders their ability to
unlock their full potential and become successful leaders in the 21st Century. The lack
of accessible resources, mentor-ship, and opportunities creates obstacles in their
personal, educational, and career development, constraining their ability to navigate
challenges and strive in a rapidly changing world. Addressing this gap is imperative to
ensure that every young individual in Zimbabwe can realize their aspirations and
contribute effectively to the Nation’s advancement.

Problem Solution

Vision:
To empower, inspire and guide Zimbabwean students and youths to unlock their full
potential, navigate challenges, cultivate their talents, shape a prosperous future for
themselves and their communities, and become successful leaders in the 21st century.

Mission:

ZYAG is dedicated to providing comprehensive guidance, mentor-ship, and resources


to support Zimbabwean students and youths in their personal, educational, and career
development.

Through innovative programs and partnerships, we aim to equip them with the
necessary skills, knowledge, and opportunities to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
And to foster a culture of excellence, resilience, and social responsibility among the
youth, ultimately contributing to the development and progress of Zimbabwe.

Goals and Objectives:

1. Enhance Academic Excellence and Skills Development

i. Provide academic support, tutoring, and mentorship programs to improve


educational outcomes.
ii. Foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and digital literacy skills through
innovative teaching methods and technology integration.
iii. Promote lifelong learning and encourage students and youths to pursue higher
education and vocational training opportunities.

2. Foster Personal Growth and Well-being

i. Offer counseling, mental health support, and guidance services to address the
emotional and psychological well-being of students and youths
ii. Provide workshops and programs on personal development, resilience, and self-
confidence.
iii. Promote a healthy lifestyle, physical fitness, and well-being through sports,
recreation, and wellness activities.

3. Cultivate Leadership and Entrepreneurial Skills

i. Develop leadership skills, teamwork, and effective communication through


workshops, seminars, and experiential learning opportunities
ii. Encourage innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship through mentorship
programs and start-up incubation initiatives.
iii. Foster a culture of social responsibility and community engagement through
