The first regional expo-conference intended for the

renewal energy market continues also in 2023, with new
opportunities and hot discussion topics.
The 2nd edition of Solar Energy Bucharest Summit will take place on 25 May
2023 and will together 400 participants of the energy industry, decision-
makers, investors and large users.

Summit 2023 NEW DISCUSSION TOPICS
In 2023, the sharp increase in the investments in renewable energy will continue with
commissioning of new facilities. We will see the CFD (Contract for Difference) put in
place, as well as the launch of calls for the Upgrading Fund, which are expected to
provide financing of EUR 14 bln. for relevant projects. At Solar Energy Bucharest
Summit 2023, you will find out how you can access these funds from the speakers
of this edition.

Equipment manufacturers will present the results of their innovation projects intended
to increase the yield of photovoltaic panels and extend their lifetime.

Companies will bring their new storage equipment technologies closer to investors,
and will get them acquainted with how these can help them

In 2022, Romania installed 200 MW of solar panels, reaching 1421 MW; still, the capacity
increase must be fast-forwarded for our country to meet the targets it committed to before
the European institutions.

After a period of virtually no investments (2016-2021), Romania has again become

attractive for investors thanks to the firm promise made by the authorities: by 2026,
Romania will have had installed 6,100 MW in solar farms.
