a. irregular verbs - a verb that does not follow the normal pattern of inflection.

c. regular verbs - A regular verb is a verb that follows a common pattern of conjugation.
d. simple past tense - sometimes called the preterite, is used to talk about a completed
action in a time before now
e. verb tense - Verb tenses are changes or additions to verbs to show when the action took
place
