LETTER TO THE DEAN

February 15, 2024

DR. JOHDEL C. CABALUNA

Dean, School of Nursing
Panpacific University

Dear Dr. Cabaluna,

Greetings!

We, the BSN Level 4 students, are writing to seek your approval and support for the organization
of a seminar on Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid Training. As part of the requirements for
our course, Intensive Nursing Practicum (INP), we believe that this seminar will greatly
contribute to our professional development and preparedness for clinical practice.

The seminar aims to equip us with essential life-saving skills, including cardiopulmonary
resuscitation (CPR), managing choking incidents, and providing immediate first aid in
emergency situations. Given the critical nature of these skills in healthcare settings, we are eager
to receive proper training and certification in BLS and First Aid.

We propose that the seminar be conducted by certified instructors from reputable training
organizations, ensuring the quality and effectiveness of the training program.

We kindly request your approval and assistance in securing the necessary resources and facilities
to conduct the seminar successfully. This includes arranging for the venue, coordinating with
instructors, and providing logistical support as needed.

Furthermore, we believe that the skills acquired from this seminar will not only benefit us as
student nurses but will also enhance the safety and well-being of patients under our care during
our clinical rotations and future nursing practice.

Thank you for considering our request. We look forward to your favorable response and
guidance in organizing this valuable training opportunity.

Sincerely,
