The teacher plays a song called "If You're Happy and You Know It" and
encourages the students to perform the actions described in the lyrics.
The teacher post the following words on the board, based on the music that

E. APPLICATION The teacher will introduce a game called "Guess the Tenses" and show the
different strips of paper that contain words about the tenses of verb

Mechanics:

Divide the class into groups. (by row). Each group will receive different strips
of paper, one at a time. There will be one representative in each group to
act out the word on the strip of paper. The rest of the members will be given
1 minute to guess the word. After guessing the word, they must use the
word to form a sentence using the simple verb tenses. The group with the
highest number of correct answers will get a high score.

F. ASSESSMENT Direction: Underline the verb in each sentence and classify what verb tense
is used. ( past, present, future).
1. I will play basketball in college.
2. She smiles too much.
3. I go to school everyday.
4. I took my medicine this morning.
5. My sister played with dolls all the time.
6. Cindy and Brad fought all the time.
7. I will study English next year.
8. Jen cooks chicken for the party.
9. Mother cleans the house.
10. He ran fast yesterday.
