Tulips are so marvelous and amazing flowers that one can enjoy them for ages...
They are always so fresh, so tender and people are constantly looking forward to
having a chance to pick them up in a wonderful bunch and admire fabulous aroma,
aroma of spring.

Materials and tools you will need:

1) Yarn. I used FINE (2PLY) 100% acrylic yarn Yarn Art Baby (150 m.=50 g), cotton-
acrylic Alize Cotton Gold (330 m.=100 g.) or Yarn Art Jeans (160 m.=50 g.) You will
need about 15 g. for one tulip bud. For the stem and leaves of tulip - any yarn green
of the above. You will need about 11 g.
2) 2,25 - 2,75 mm crochet hook (US size 1/B – 2/C)
3) Stuffing (polyester fiberfill)
4) Wire (I used wire diameters 0.9 mm)
5) Tapestry needle
Abbreviations (US terms):

mr - magic ring (crochet n single crochet stitches into the adjustable loop)
st(s) – stitch(es)
ch – chain stitch
sc - single crochet stitch
inc - increase (make two sc from the same st)
dec - decrease (crochet two st together)
(sc 3, inc) x n - repeat between parentheses n times

PETAL (make 3)
Take pink.
1 round: mr, sc 6 (6)
2 round: 6 inc (12)

3 round: (1 sc, inc) х 6 (18)

4 round: sc in each st (18)
5 round: (5 sc, inc) х 3 (21)
7 round: (6 sc, inc) х 3 (24)
8-12 rounds: 5 rounds sc in each st (24)
13 round: (2 sc, dec) х 6 (18)
16 round: (1 sc, dec) х 6 (12)
Don’t stuff the petal. Hold the petal and crochet them with 6 sc! Not 4, not 5, but 6 sc
– insert hook in the same loop which you ending 16th round. Cut the thread and hide
its tail inside.
CORE:
Take pink.
2 round: (1 sc, inc) х 3 (9)
3 round: (2 sc, inc) х 3 (12)
4 round: (3 sc, inc) х 3 (15)
5 round: (4 sc, inc) x 3 (18)


7 round: (5 sc, inc) х 3 (21)
9 round: (6 sc, inc) х 3 (24)
16 round: (2 sc, dec) х 6 (18)
Start stuffing the core.
17 round: Take the first petal, apply it to the core and crochet them with 6 sc, grabbing
petal and core loops. Apply other petals to the core and crochet them with 6 sc. (18)
18 round: (1 sc, dec) х 6 (12)

Stuff the core not firmly. Trim the yarn, leaving the tail 40 sm. Insert yarn in the needle
and sew the edges of the petals until the middle of the bud. Sew alternately grabbing
loops of each of the edges (see photo)

Our bud is ready!
STEM:
Take green.
2 round: (1 sc, inc) х 3 (9)
Crochet stem half. Take the wire length 36 cm., fold it in half and twist the ends. Put
stuffing on the bottom, insert the wire. Stuff the stem around the wire. Continue to
crochet, stuffing in the course of crocheting. Stem length of 15 cm.
45 round: 9 inc (18)
46 round: sc sc in each st (18)
Leave the thread for sewing. Put enough stuffing. Attach stem, sticking a wire in the
bud. Sew the stem.

LEAF (make 2):

3 round: (1 sc, inc) х 3 (9)
4-5 rounds: sc in each st (9)
6 round: (2 sc, inc) х 3 (12)
7-8 rounds: sc in each st (12)
9 round: (3 sc, inc) х 3 (15)
11 round: (4 sc, inc) х 3 (18)
13 round: (5 sc, inc) х 3 (21)
14-19 rounds: 6 rounds sc in each st
Hold the leaf and crochet them with sc. Leave the thread for sewing.

Sew the leaves to the stem, placing one on the other two rows below. (see photo)
Tulip is ready!
