We all love a good paper flower, but Eileen Lim has taken the art form
to the next level with her stunning new book Crepe Paper Blooms, Bugs &
Butterflies. Featuring not only tutorials for fabulous crepe paper florals
of all varieties but also – you guessed it – bugs and butterflies, Eileen’s
guide takes you on a magical tour of garden wildlife. Flick through her
projects and you will quickly realise how realistic her everlasting
creations are. Whisper it, but some of these makes are so good they

Sweet tooth
Vicki Boutin’s new craft range is a vibrant, nostalgic
collection filled with sugar-coated surprises. Thanks to
the bold rainbow colours and festival feel, Sweet Rush
takes on a summery vibe for the season ahead. Think ice
creams, lollipops, cotton candy and bubblegum... yum!
And, of course, it wouldn’t be a Vicki Boutin collection
without a few mixed media elements thrown into the mix.

Summer layout
•
Sometimes a memory or
an event is so good that you
want to preserve it in the
best way possible. For that,
you need Keren Baker’s
joyous scrapbook layout.
Making excellent use of
Clairefontaine’s California
Dream paper pad, Keren has
conjured up a design that
is full of fun and heavy on
bright colours, perfect for
giving your life the crafty
treatment it deserves. Our
favourite bit? Those adorable
little confetti circles that give
the design a real party feel.

Precise folds
Take white card, 14.5cm x 20.5cm. Mark at 5cm, 10cm
and 15.5cm along the top and bottom. From the bottom
5cm mark, score diagonally up to the 10cm mark, then
valley fold. Score vertically between the 10cm and
15.5cm marks and mountain fold. Score from the top
10cm mark diagonally to the 15.5cm mark, then from
the bottom 15.5cm mark diagonally to the top-right
corner. Valley fold both. Holding the 15.5cm mountain
fold, press the two triangle shapes either side of this
fold together and glue to the reverse. Layer patterned
papers to each panel. Embellish with a washi tape tab,
heart topper and puffy heart sticker.
Central concertina
Make a 15cm x 17cm white blank. Take a smaller
panel of white card and matt patterned paper on
top. On the reverse, measure 5cm from the top and
bottom, then 4.5cm in from each side. Draw a
rectangle, then diagonal lines from each corner
of the rectangle. With a craft knife, cut along the
diagonal lines. Score along the edge of the rectangle,
then fold the cut lines outward to create a diamond
shape on the front. Mount spotty paper onto each
triangle. Take green patterned paper and score at
every 5mm along the whole length, then concertina
fold. Position into the rectangle aperture, then layer
the panel onto the blank. Add a sentiment, rainbow
topper and puffy heart sticker.

We know a lot of you are big fans of
crystal art, and it’s easy to see why with
Sharon’s sparkling card. Utilising her
jewels to brilliant effect, Sharon has
crafted a tropical scene that will brighten

particularly like her use of colours, keeping things light
