Natural resources are needed to sustain life. There are two kinds-
nonrenewable and renewable natural resources. The nonrenewable
natural resources which include metallic ores, coal, petroleum and stone
cannot be replaced once extracted. Renewable natural resources, like
trees, animals and other living organisms can be replenished or replaced
quickly. If man wants the renewable resources to be available indefinitely,
they have to be used efficiently and judiciously.
Answer: True
We learned that milk from cows provides not only calcium, but also vitamin
D and many other nutrients with numerous health benefits. Thus, it does
our body good. Some scientists, however, do not think this is necessarily
true because commercially available cow’s milk has changed over the
years. Generally, milk consists of water, fat, protein, lactose, minerals,
vitamins, and enzymes. However, the exact composition of milk depends
on what cows eat, their cycle of lactation, the number of lactations, and
how the milk in being processed. Today’s techniques in the production of
commercial milk can modify significantly the end product, changing it from
its natural form to something quite different.

Doug Mac Gregor asserts that there are two basic leadership styles based
on two theories: Theory X and Theory Y. Theory X is the style of leaders
who expect that people need to be supervised closely to function well.
These leaders feel that they need to do almost everything without making
consultations with the members. The task is given more value than the

Paragraph 3
People are not born with values but rather learn them as they grow.
The discernment of right from wrong, the capacity for love, hate or
indifference comes from what we experience in our early years of life.
Parents or the people who act as parents are a child’s first teachers. It
is they who sow the first seeds of character building. Parents who do
not serve as good role models or care about passing on proper values
are not likely to produce progeny of exemplar character. In the same
vein, parents who not only teach what is right but live what they teach
will probably raise like-minded children who will later live by the
virtues instilled in them. ( source: Beley, Annette. CodeRed Volume

Paragraph 4
Did you know that an eagle knows when a storm is approaching long
before it breaks? The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the
winds to come. When the storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will
pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the
eagle is soaring above it. It does not escape the storm. It uses the storm to
lift it higher. The eagle rises on the winds that bring the storm. Like us,
when the storm of life come upon us, we can hold on to a higher, stronger,
more supreme power who can lift us above it.

Paragraph 5
The Great British author, George Orwell, gave one of the best accounts for
why patriotism should not be confused with nationalism. In 1945, he wrote: “A
patriot believes this country to be the best place in the world for himself but
has no wish to force his ideas on other people. Patriotism is of its nature
defensive, both militarily and culturally. Nationalism, on the other hand, is
inseparable from the desire for power. The abiding purpose of every
nationalist is to secure more power and more prestige, not for himself but for
the nation or other unit in which he has chosen to sink his own individuality.”
He further said, “Patriotism is a great and unifying force. Best we have that
rather than needing to send the flower of our youth to counter the forces and
effects of nationalism and division.”
