Details of learning This course will use a combination of teaching/learning methodology, such as
methods lecturing for session one and case-based learning for sessions 2-5. Students are
expected to prepare the case before class begin and participate in group and class
discussion. The methods of the case discussions will be discussed in class by the
Lecturer.
For session 2, the case will be discussed in two stages. The first stage is a
discussion in groups consisting of 4-5 students. In the second stage, discussions
will be carried out in class by each group. Each student is expected to contribute,
both in groups and in-class discussions. Further arrangements regarding the case
discussion activities will be determined by each Lecturer. Normally, group
members will be assigned each week randomly.
For sessions 3-5, students (in groups) will be assigned to write essays. The essay
will be evaluated and discussed by other students in the class.
Finally, students are going to take an exam where they will be asked to compose
an analytical essay based on a case circulated one day before the exam's date.
Using very close paraphrasing of sentences or whole clauses without acknowledging the
original work is serious academic misconduct (plagiarism).
