LESSON PLAN

ARTS
3RD QUARTER – WEEK 3
March 1, 2024

Content Standard: The learners will demonstrates understanding of


factors that affect the choice of health information and products.

Performance Standard: The students shall be able to exhibits basic


skills in making a design for a print and producing several clean copies
of the prints. Manipulates a stencil with an adequate skill to produce a
clean print for a message, Slogan or logo for a T-Shirt, poster bag.
Produces at least 3 good copies of print using complementary colors and
contrasting.

Most Essential Learning Competency: Discusses the concept that a


print made from objects found in nature can be realistic or abstract.

I. OBJECTIVE

At the end of the lesson students are expected to;

1. Define Slogan and Logo.


2. Understand how to write a slogan or create a logo.
3. Develop creative thinking and artistic skills.

II. SUBJECT MATTER

Topic: Slogan or Logo Making

Reference: MELC’S (A3PR-111g)


Materials: Visual aids, IM’s Carolina, Pictures, Color/Paint

III. PROCEDURE

A. Daily Routine:

Pre activity (Prior knowledge)

Instructions: There are 5 logo pictures and 2 slogan pictures


presented by the teacher. The students will identify what logo is
presented and understand the slogan on what it is about to
portrait.

B. Lesson Proper
1. Motivation:
• The Teacher will again present a picture of slogan and logo
and let the students give their observation on the picture if it
is good, will create and perfect.
• The teacher will later explain the pictures all about.

2. Discussion:

SLOGAN – a short easily remembered phrase, especially one


used to advertise an idea or a product.

Example: An advertising slogan, Environmental Slogan ect.

How to write a slogan?

 Brainstorm words. Create a list of words that relate to the


topic.
 Keep it short and to the point. A good slogan is short and to
the point, otherwise, it won’t stick with your audience.
 Use small words.
 Choose something easy to say.

LOGO – A logo is a graphic mark, emblem, or symbol used to aid


and promote public identification and recognition. It may be of an
abstract or figurative design or include the text of the name it
represents as in a wordmark.

Example: GMA, ABS-CBN, MATANGLAWIN, LAZADA ect.


How to create a logo?

 Create a brand identity.


 Get your design inspiration.
 Choose the right colors.
 Select the right font and typeface.
 Make several rough sketches.
 Get others’ feedback.
 Work on your final design.
 Understand the purpose.

3. Pre-lab Activity:
• Setting of standards for group activity.
• Precautionary measures for safety purposes.
• Presentation and distribution of materials.
• Clarify procedure in the activity.

Proper Activity:

Instructions:

There are four groups each group will have a leader and a group
name. All you have to do is to make a logo and slogan of your
group. Example: GROUP STAR’S (In your group name make it a
slogan and a logo - ✨⭐ WE ARE BRIGHTER LET’S MAKE IT
SHINE). To get a higher grade by the end of discussion you must
be quiet and follow the instructions given by the teacher. Discuss
and analyze with the group. After making it the leader will present
their answers and will have a short explanation. The noisy group
will automatically minus points.

Directions:

In a 1 whole sheet of paper, Study the pictures and identify the


name of the logo or the slogan. Write and answer quietly.

 Differentiated Activity:

Rules: There are 4 groups that is presented earlier, Each group


have a different activities that is assigned by the teacher.
Cooperation with the leader and the members is necessary to get
a highest score. Minus points for those who are not following the
rules.

Central Elementary School. Be creative in making.

You are going to make a logo and a slogan for Section Citrine.

Group 3

You are going to make a logo and a slogan for the animals.

You are going to make a logo and a slogan for environment.

V. GENERALIZATION

Teacher will ask the students on what they have learned to the
lesson earlier and recaps the discussion.

Again, what is slogan? It is a short easily remembered phrase,


especially one used to advertise an idea or a product. And
Logo? It is a graphic mark, emblem, or symbol used to aid and
promote public identification and recognition. It may be of an
abstract or figurative design or include the text of the name it
represents as in a wordmark.

VI. EVALUATION

Directions: In a long bond paper make your own logo and


slogan. You can also use your First name as your logo. Be
creative in making for additional points.

VII. ASSIGNMENT

Directions: In a long bond paper make a logo and a slogan for


environmental awareness.
