At 2nd level, a saurian tyrant gains the ability to react to danger before his senses would normally allow him to do so. He
cannot be caught flat-footed, nor does he lose his Dex bonus to AC if the attacker is invisible. He still loses his Dexterity
bonus to Armor Class if immobilized. A saurian tyrant with this ability can still lose his Dexterity bonus to Armor Class if
an opponent successfully uses the feint action against him.
If a saurian tyrant already has uncanny dodge from a different class, he automatically gains improved uncanny dodge
instead.
A saurian tyrant is made of tougher stuff than most. At 3rd level when unarmored and unencumbered, a saurian tyrant
can reduce the amount of damage he takes and gains DR. Once per day a saurian tyrant can reduce that he takes from
a single source of damage by half. At 5th level he gains an additional use of this ability. In addition he gains an amount of
DR/ - as indicated on table 1-1 The Saurian Tyrant.
A saurian tyrant can perform this (and gains his DR bonus) even against touch attacks or when the saurian tyrant is flat-
footed. He cannot attempt this and he loses his bonus to natural armor when he is immobilized or helpless, when he
wears any armor, when he carries a shield, or when he carries a medium or heavy load.
At 4th level and higher, a saurian tyrant can no longer be flanked. This defense denies a rogue the ability to sneak attack
the saurian tyrant by flanking him, unless the attacker has at least four more rogue levels than the target has saurian
tyrant levels.

If a character already has uncanny dodge (see above) from another class, the levels from the classes that grant uncanny
dodge stack to determine the minimum rogue level required to flank the character.
A saurian tyrant can attempt to grapple its opponent as a free action without provoking an attack of opportunity if it hits
with its bite attack.
