Abstract
Homemade air cooler is one of the modern and simple type of air
cooler. It is simple in construction and works on simple principle.
Then heat exchange from air to water. Then cool air comes out
through outlet valves of the bucket with some pressure. Then cooling
effect is produced. The cooling effect is measured with the help of
temperature indicator.

Introduction
A Home Made Air Cooler (also swamp cooler, desert cooler and wet
air cooler) is a device that cools air through the evaporation of water.
Evaporative cooling differs from typical air conditioning systems which
use vapor-compression or absorption refrigeration cycles. Evaporative
cooling works by employing water's large enthalpy of vaporization. The
temperature of dry air can be dropped significantly through the phase
transition of liquid water to water vapor (evaporation), which can cool air
using much less energy than refrigeration. In extremely dry climates,
evaporative cooling of air has the added benefit of conditioning the air
with more moisture for the comfort of building occupants.
Air washers and wet cooling towers use the same principles as Air
coolers but are designed for purposes other than directly cooling the air
inside a building. For example, an evaporative cooler may be designed to
cool the coils of a large air conditioning or refrigeration system to increase
its efficiency.

energy.
Standardized motors provide power for industrial use. The largest are
used for ship propulsion, pipeline compression and pumped-storage
applications, with output exceeding 100 megawatts.

As the air passes through the wet pads, it is cooled through the
evaporation of water.
The cooled air is then circulated into the room, reducing the overall
temperature.

Homemade air coolers are relatively easy to build with readily available
materials. The basic components include:
A container or box
A water pump
A water reservoir
A fan
Cooling pads or media
PVC pipes and fittings
a. Container or Box: This serves as the body of the air cooler and holds the
other components.
c. Water Pump: Used to circulate water from the reservoir to the cooling
pads.
e. Fan: An axial or centrifugal fan to draw air through the wet cooling pads
and into the room.
f. PVC pipes and fittings: - PVC pipes used to make the outer structure of
air cooler.

6. Event Cooling: Air coolers are often used for outdoor events, such as
weddings, festivals, and sporting events, to keep attendees
comfortable.
11. Warehouses: Air coolers help control the temperature and humidity
in warehouses, which is crucial for storing certain goods and materials.
12. It's important to note that air coolers are most effective in dry or arid
climates, where they can provide significant cooling benefits. In humid
conditions, their effectiveness may be limited.

Disadvantages of Air Cooler
6. mounted air conditioners and are less easily installed in tight spaces
.
7. Limited cooling capacity: Homemade coolers are best suited for small
to medium-sized rooms.
9. Regular refilling: The water reservoir needs regular refilling, which can
be inconvenient.

Looking for an air cooler to suit your needs but not sure which one is the
best fit for you? By weighing your options after understanding the different
types of air coolers available today, you can proceed to get the perfect
air-cooling appliance for your space.
1. Personal Coolers
If you’ re seeking a cool and comfortable environment in your home or
office, consider Crompton’ s personal air cooler! This evaporative cooler
is perfect for rooms ranging from 80 to 160 square feet, providing an air
delivery rate of 650 cubic meters per hour for small spaces and 1250 to
1350 cubic meters per hour for slightly larger spaces.
2. Tower Coolers
Cooking in the kitchen can be a hot and uncomfortable experience, but
with Crompton’ s tower cooler, you can enjoy a refreshing environment
without worrying about fire hazards. Unlike fans or air conditioners, this
tower cooler is a safe and effective way to cool your kitchen while you
cook.
3. Window Coolers
If you’ re looking for a space-saving solution for your small bedroom,
consider a window air cooler from Crompton. These units are installed
outside your home, freeing up valuable indoor space, and delivering an
impressive air delivery rate of 1700m3 per hour.
4. Desert Coolers
Crompton’ s desert coolers are the perfect choice for larger rooms and
work best with windows open. For rooms up to 500 sq ft, the air delivery
