LESSON PLAN IN ENGLISH

Teacher: Alvin Q. Baraoil Grade Level: 11/12 Learning Areas: Literacy Quarter: 2

I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson the students will be able to:
A. Read simple sentence in the paragraphs;
B. understand the meaning of the sentences that they read,
C. give importance to the English word that they read, and
D. apply it in their daily lives

II. CONTENT
A. Subject Matter: Literacy
B. Sub Topic: Reading
B. Materials: Modules and any reading materials
C. Tools: PowerPoint presentation

III. PROCEDURE:

A. PREPARATION
Opening Prayer
Greetings
Checking of Attendance

B. REVIEW
What is the importance of learning English language in our daily lives?
How are you going to express your feelings using English words?

LESSON PROPER
C. MOTIVATION

 Showing them the scrambled English words


 Let them participate and recite the scrambled words
 Asking them if they can understand the English word
 Letting them read some sentences
 Calling them one by one and spill out the words that they know

D. ACTIVITY

 Asking them to think of some funny incidents, each one of them


 After remembering some funny incidents, let them to write it on their notebooks
 Now, on their notes, the students will now arrange the ideas about the incidents
 They will be encouraging to write down at least 3-5 sentences about the incidents
 They will be given 20 minutes to finalize their answer
 Finally, the students should present their output in front of the class

E. ANALYSIS
 Asking the students on how they feel about the activity?
 How are they going to relate it on the previous topic?
 Do they have any clarifications?
 Introducing them lesson to learn for the day

F. ABSTRACTION

 Discussing the reason, why they need to read sentences and paragraphs
 Unlocking difficulties about reading
 Encouraging the students to listen carefully to the discussion
 Make them realize the importance of English words for their learning
 Discuss the step by step process of reading and understanding the English words
 Giving enough time to focus on reading
 Guiding them to proper reading
 Helping those students who encounter difficulties in reading

G. APPLICATION

 Call the students one by one and let them read at least 2 paragraphs
 Asking him/her if he/she will be able to understand what he/she reads
 Encourage him/her to write down what he/she learns from the paragraph

IV. EVALUATION
Instruction: Make a simple sentence about the usage of the following objects.
1. Ball pen
2. Books
3. Bag
4. Cellphone
5. Notebook

V. ASSIGNMENT
1. Differentiate nouns from verb?
2. What is noun?
3. What is verb?
