Selling Cookies
My class sells cookies. Then, we use the cookie money to buy things for other
children. These children are very poor kids in our city. When you are poor, you have no
money, or very little money. Some poor children have no family. Some poor children can’t
pay for doctors when they are sick. Poor children don’t have fancy homes. They can’t buy
clothes or toys. They don’t have warm clothes for winter. Children in my class help these
poor kids. We buy clothes and toys. Then, we give them to the poor children. We feel really
good when we help others.

The Zoo
Last Sunday, Jennifer and her friend Kevin were at the zoo. It was a nice day and
Jennifer was wearing her pretty purple hat. Kevin was very proud because everybody was
looking at his friend. Jennifer wanted to see the elephants but Kevin didn't. He didn’t like
them. So, he decided to go and see the monkeys.
A few minutes later, Jennifer was standing next to a huge elephant. It was twenty-five
past four and the elephants were waiting for their food. They were usually fed at half past
four. That's the reason why the elephant was v hungry and pink was its favourite colour!
Suddenly, it ate Jennifer's hat. She was horrified! When Kevin came back, he was very
really surprised. They laughed and were both happy.
