Profile - QC Engineer / Mechanical Engineer, certified welding inspector C.SWP 3.1 with a totalof +8
years' experience in inspection and construction fields for welding, piping, steel structure,
tanks and equipment in oil & gas refinery and petrochemicals projects.
-Well familiar with QA/QC working (prepare &review ITP, PQR, WPS) according to
ASME IX, AWS D1.1, ASME VIII div.1 and B31.3 and pipelines API (1104), hot-tap
API (2201), either fabrication &erection procedures and all related work activities such as
fit up, PWHT, NDT, hydro test ……. etc.
-Well familiar with traceability of material with respect to mill certificate for the received
material &well knowledge with material (ASME II SEC1), (EN 10025-2) piping B36.10
and fitting flanges (EN 1092&ASME 16.5).
-Well familiar with inspection procedures for installation and alignment (Pre and
Final) of Rotating Equipment such as Horizontal/Vertical Pumps, Compressors, Turbines,
Air cooler. External and Internal Static Equipment installation and alignment as Cooling
Towers, Boilers, Fired heaters, Internal Trays, Pressure Vessels as per International
Standards API 686 and` Vender requirements.

➢ Review all documents and designs for piping systems.

➢ Preparation and review of inspection and test plan (ITP).

➢ Preparation and review of WPS after revising all Drawings and PQRs.

➢ Controlling all inspection activities on workshop &site (Welding Inspection, Testing
the Welders, joint fit-up, Dimensional Survey, Monitoring and controlling welding
consumables Check welding equipment, cleanliness, preheat, inter pass cleaning,
inter pass temperature, PWHT, electrode storage and handling NDE Operation (VT,
RT, PT, MT, UT)) etc.
➢ Suggest ideas to accelerate piping activities in site to complete project in
time. Cooperate with all piping team to achieve best performance in piping
and mechanical completion.
➢ Responsible for installation of all mechanical equipment (compressor
&Vessels -pumps).
➢ Review all documents, designs, and drawings before
mechanical equipment installation.
➢ Maintain accuracy in all piping activities and ensure compliance for all
material specifications.
➢ Review and check test package (as built drawing, punch list, P&ID, NDT
reports, welding summary, calibration equipment’s reports used in hydro
test and hydro test reports).
➢ Prepare all equipment punch lists and verify all items are in place and act
as an agent for the company during punch list.
➢ Nozzles Alteration to change the diameter, spools connection and Exchange
the spools which had reductions with thickness AT SHUTDOWNS.
Duties of QC ➢ Review and check a project drawings and specs according to applicable code

identification (PMI) and hardness test (HD).
Duties of ➢ Equipment receiving visual inspection to ensure that no physical damage
QC and all accessories comply with drawing/ packing list /data sheet.
Equipment ➢ Pre installation inspection: Check (foundation release report, check shim
inspector: pad, levelness, concrete chipping, cleaning, and anchor bolts)
➢ Installation of equipment: check (direction as per drawing, installation of
shim plates and anchor bolt tightening)
➢ Pre-Alignment: check to ensure that horizontal, vertical, axial tolerances are
achievable.
➢ Final Alignment: anchors fully tightened, number of shims as per project
specs or API 686, Flange parallelism, flange offset, soft foot, suction/
discharge flanges tightening, pipe strain and DBSE.
➢ Final inspection: check coupling has been installed, torqued, lubricated (if
required) as per vendor recommendation, equipment earthling, painting,
insulation (if required).
