TEAM

Teams for WIEHack 5.0 shall have a


minimum of two and maximum of four
members. However, a single female
member can also participate
individually.

Each team must have at least 50%


female members.

ELIGIBILITY
CRITERIA:
Participants must be currently enrolled
in an undergraduate course at a
recognized institution.

Each participant must be registered for


the event. You can register here.

CODE OF
CONDUCT
WIEHack 5.0 will be a 36-hour women-
centric hybrid international hackathon
held both Offline and Online,
simultaneously.

Only the first 70 shortlisted teams opting


for offline mode will be called to the
college premises.

Shortlisting will be on a first-come, first-


serve basis for the first 70 teams opting
for offline mode, while teams beyond
the initial 70 can join via online mode.

STAGES
Abstract Round
In this round, participants are required to
submit a brief summary of their project
idea. It is important to note that there
will be no interaction with mentors
during this phase, and participants will
be assessed solely based on their
submissions.

Prototype &
Presentation Round
Shortlisted teams will begin working
on their prototypes. Here, the teams
need to create a working prototype of
their projects and present it to our
mentors.

STAGES
Business Plan Round
After the Prototype & Presentation
Round, selected teams will create a
business plan for their ideas,
emphasizing the business potential.
Projects showing greater business
potential will receive higher
consideration.

Final Round
The finalists will be required to give a
full-fledged presentation, elaborately
discussing their idea

GENERAL
RULES
Utilization of internet resources such as Stack Overflow
and GitHub is permitted. However, direct plagiarism of
ideas or code is strictly prohibited.

Teams choosing offline mode are strongly advised to


bring their own extension board.

All team members must be present during registration.

There are no restrictions on the programming


languages and platforms used to develop the product.

It is mandatory to bring college ID along with any other


identification proof for offline teams.

In the event of any disputes or discrepancies, the


decision of the WIEHack Organizing Team will be final
and binding.

All team members, competitors, judges, volunteers,


etc., must be treated with respect and courtesy.

GENERAL
RULES
The organizers reserve the right to modify the rules
without any prior notice.

Participants who are eliminated during any round


must exit the college premises immediately.

As teams get eliminated in any round, please ensure


to fill out the feedback form and collect your
certificate before leaving.

Teams must use the provided template for their


presentations.

Teams opting for offline participation are responsible


for managing their own travel expenses.

Team members must stay on-site throughout the


hackathon; leaving will lead to immediate
disqualification.

Selected teams for round two will be

provided with accommodation for the night.
WIEHACK
Our mission at WIEHack is to empower
female undergraduate students in tech.
With a focus on diversity, we require at least
50% of team members to be women,
addressing the gender gap in engineering.
Offering both online and offline
participation, WIEHack provides a
supportive environment through mentoring
and workshops, fostering innovation and
challenging stereotypes in the tech world.
