SQUARE (make 2)
With Friends Cotton 8/4, color Candyfloss (45), and 2.5 mm (US C/2) hook
Note: Ch1 counts as 1 st, join each round in ch1 with a sl st.
Round 2: ch1, *3 sc in next st, 1 sc in next st*, repeat from * to * 2 more times, 3 sc in last st. Join
with sl st in ch1 (16 sts)

STAR (make 2)
With Friends Cotton 8/4, color Capri Blue (90) and 2.5 mm (US C/2) hook
Round 3: Ch4, sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next ch, dc in next ch, sl st in next st available
in round 2. *sl st in next st, ch4, sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next ch, dc in next ch, skip
the next st available st in round 2, sl st in next st*. Repeat from * to * 4 more times.
Fasten off, leaving a long tail to sew. Insert hook from back to front in the little space next to
the last sl st made and pull the yarn through.
HEART (make 2)
With Friends Cotton 8/4, color Tomato (40) and 2.5 mm (US C/2) hook

Round 3: *1 sc in next st, inc in next st* repeat from * to * all around. (18 sts)
Round 4: 1 sc in next st, *inc in next st, 1 sc in next 2 sts* repeat until 2 sts left, inc in next
st, 1 sc in last st. (24 sts)
Round 5: *1 sc in next 3 sts, inc in next st* repeat from * to * 4 more times. Work 1 sc in
next 4 sts, sl st in back loop only. (29 sts)
Ch11.
Row 1: starting in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in each ch. (10 sc) Ch1 and turn.
Rows 2 to 9: work 1 dec, 1 sc in each st to end of row. Ch1 and turn. (8 rows, 2 sts left)
Border: Turn the piece to work around it, keeping the right side front of you. Work 1 sc in
each end of rows along the side, 2 sc in first ch the foundation ch . Work 1 sc in each ch
from the foundation ch until 1 st left, 2 sc in last ch, 1 sc in each end of rows from the last
side, 2 sc in the last corner. Sl st in first st.
Diamond (make 2)
With Friends Cotton 8/4, color Purple Rain (70) and 2.5 mm (US C/2) hook
Rows 7 to 11: work dec, 1 sc in each st to end of row. Ch1 and turn. (5 rows, 3sts after row
11)
CARDS
Note: Ch1 doesn’t count as 1 st.
You will work one card in Pastel Yellow (21), then sew a shape on it, then work a card with
Turquoise (94), and finally work a border in sc joining the first and the second card.
Ch 15
Row 1: work 1 sc in 2nd st from hook. Work 1 sc in each ch to end of the row. Ch1 and turn.
Rows 2 to 18: Work 1 sc in each st to end of the row. Ch1 and turn.
Fasten off.
Sew one shape on each front card, trying to center it as you can.
Work as the Front cards but DO NOT fasten off and work as follow:
Place the front card on the back card, the wrong sides together, and the foundation chains
on the same side. The back card facing you
POUCH
Note: The pouch is worked with 8/6 yarn. Ch1 doesn’t count as 1 st.
The 2 firsts rounds are worked in the round, closed by 1 sl st. The body is worked in spiral.
Use a marker to mark the first st and move it as you go. Then, you’ll fasten off and cut the
yarn and the new yarn is joined and the flap is worked in rows.
BODY
With Friends Cotton 8/6, color Pastel Yellow (21) and hook 4 mm (US G/6).
Ch21
Round 1: Work 3 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook. Work 1 sc in each ch until one ch left. Work
5 sc in the last ch. Turn your work to work on the other side of the ch. Sc in each ch of the
round until one st left. Work 2 sc in last st. Sl st in first st. (46 sts)
Round 2: Ch1, work inc in first st, 1 sc in next st, inc, 1 sc in the next 18 sts. Work *inc, 1 sc
in next st* repeat from * to * twice, inc, 1 sc in the next 18 sts, inc, 1 sc in last st. Sl st in first
st. (52 sts)
Start to work in spiral, use a marker to mark the beginning of the round.
Rounds 3 to 26: Ch1, work 1 sc in each st. On round 26, finish with 1 sl st in next st and
fasten off.
FLAP
With Friends Cotton 8/6, color Turquoise (94) and hook 4 mm (US G/6).
Important: please, pay attention to the buttons. Be aware that it can be dangerous for very
young kids, so I recommend that you don't use buttons if your kid is very young and sew them
securely.
With the right side of the bag facing you, place a marker on each side of the bag. With 24 sts
between them. So 26 sts if you count the marked one. You will work on the 26 sts from the
back of the pouch.
Join color 24 in the first marked st on the right, with right side facing, and ch1.
Row 1: work 1 sc in back loops only in the next 26 sts to the next marked st. Ch1 and turn.
(26 sts)
Row 2: work 1 dec, 1 sc in each st from flap until 2 sts left, dec. Ch1 and turn. (24 sts)
Row 3: work 1 sc in each st from flap. Ch1 and turn. (24 sts)
Rows 4 to 10: repeat rows 2 and 3, finishing with row 2. Ch1 and turn. (16 sts)
Row 12: repeat row 2, working 1 sc in each ch from buttonholes. Fasten off. (14 sts)
With back of the pouch facing you. On the right side, join the yarn in the very first row of the
flap on your right and crochet a border around the flap.
Work 1 sc in each st until one st left on the first side, 2 sc in the st and turn. Work 1 sc in
each st on the next side. Turn and work 2 sc in first st on the last side, 1 sc in each st along
the last side, 1 sc and 1 sl st in the last st. Fasten off.
Place the cards inside the pouch, close the bag and mark the place where you must sew the
buttons on the body of the bag. Remove the cards and sew the buttons.
