Second Quarter

I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standards
 Demonstrates understanding that printed words are made up of
interconnected letters with separate sounds that are blended together
to form coherent pattern of sounds.
 Demonstrate understanding of various verbal elements in orally
communicating information.
 Demonstrates understanding of non-verbal communication to
communicate with others.
B. Performance Standards
 Uses knowledge of phonics (analytic and synthetic) to effectively
decode grade-appropriate words.
 Orally communicates information, opinions, and ideas effectively
to different audiences using a variety of literary activities
 Applies knowledge of non-verbal skills to respectfully give the
speaker undivided attention and acknowledge the message.

Unscramble the letter of the words to fit to the description and the
image shown.

B. Engage
Group the class into two, let them show a photo of gold if the sentence
contains first person pronouns, silver if it has second, and bronze for
third.
