    Subject: Notification of Appointing Shipping Agent

    To whom it may concern,

    There are potential routes for future Telecommunications Fiber Optic Cable Systems to be planned in
    Chilean waters, including Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), Contiguous Zone (CZ) and Territorial Sea (TS).
    SubCom, LLC (SubCom) seeks to conduct marine reconnaissance operations within Chilean waters to
    identify physical and environmental constraints for would impact future cable route designs and
    alignments.

    EGS (Asia) Ltd. has been appointed by SubCom as the survey contractor responsible for undertaking the
    marine reconnaissance survey in Chilean waters to determine water depths, seafloor risks,
    geomorphology, and other oceanographic and anthropogenic data. The vessel being proposed for this
    project is the Commonwealth of The Bahamas flagged research vessel R/V Ocean Invincible (IMO
    9386550).

    The EGS Group has their Asia Pacific regional headquarters in Hong Kong as well as offices in the
    Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Australia, Brazil, India, UK and USA.

    EGS (Asia) Ltd. wish to appoint Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS), as our in-country Chilean shipping agent
    to support our vessel’s survey operation in the Chilean waters. The appointment of ISS, is to
    representing and act on behalf of EGS (Asia) Ltd. in obtaining the necessary permits and permission for
    the vessel to work in Chilean waters along with sending the required notifications to the concerned
    Authorities and answering any enquiry in association with the marine survey activities and survey
    logistics activities and to cover all the aspects of the vessel’s operation in around Chile.
