Praise & Prayer

April 2024
Democratic Republic of the Congo
We thank God for the successful January evaluation of the last six
years of the literacy project in the DRC; we pray for guidance for the
leaders of the project as they discern next steps.
Join us in thanking God for a new CMCo administration building
taking shape in Tshikapa. Praise God for the hard work of many that
resulted in the dedication of CMCo’s Molende church building on
January 28, 2024. Both of these projects require the hard work of
many and the dedication of local resources!
CFMC and CEM are grateful for peace in their communities and
parishes and protection for God’s children. They ask for prayers for
Justin Kabate Kikandji, member of
the eastern regions of the DRC where peace is disrupted because of
CMCo’s Molende church, at the
war.

provided for their first training with Pastor Tom Dykman at the
Aberdeen congregation. Pray for an equally successful training the
next time at the Newton congregation.

Mennonite Academy’s Huntingdon school field.
We give thanks for God’s provision of peace and safety of Sierra Pastor Tom Dykman with

Burkina Faso
Praise God that the security situation in Orodara has improved!
People from the N’dolora zone are able to leave their homes.
Continue to pray that security concerns are addressed in the eastern
and northern regions of Burkina Faso.

We are grateful for the recent ABCD training in Orodara led by

AIMM’s Co-Executive Coordinator, John Fumana and Pastor Nathan
Mudiji. 48 men and women participated in the 6-day training, and
they left the training with action plans specific to where they live and
Co-Executive Coordinator John local assets available.
Fumana explains the concept of
“low-hanging fruit” in Orodara’s We thank God for Siaka and Claire Traore’s January visit to Sidi,
ABCD training where the relationship between Christians and Muslims has not
always been easy. During this visit, the Traores and local pastors met
Burkina Faso with the village chief who welcomed them in his home. They spoke
about the role that all people must play in restoring peace to war-torn
regions of Burkina Faso.

Angola

The Evangelical Mennonite Brethren Church in Angola asks that

the economic situation makes meeting daily needs difficult.

We are grateful for the lives and ministry of Pastor Elias
