Guide Questions:
1.What are the different landforms shown in the video?
2. What are different water forms shown in the video?
3. What are the ways to conserve them?

D. Discussing new concepts Let’s Discuss

and practicing new skills
#1 A volcano is a mountain that has an opening. It
injects magma, volcanic ashes, and gases.

Mountains are higher than their surrounding areas.

They have steep slopes and they serve as habitats
for different kinds of wild animals.

Hills are lower and less steep than mountains.

Planes are low, flat areas of Earth. Some planes

are created from the soil that are carried by floods
over time or by flowing lava after volcanic
eruption.

Valleys are flat lines between hills and

mountains. Some valleys have water form in
them.
Plateaus are high flatlands. They are separated from other years by
steep slopes.

An island is a landform surrounded by water.

A peninsula is a landmass surrounded by water on three

sides, typically extending into a larger body of water, such
as an ocean or sea.

A canyon is a deep, narrow valley with steep

sides, typically formed by the erosion of water over
millions of years.

Follow-up Questions:
 Which among these landforms can be found in your community?

between lands and are usually crossed by
bridges.

Sea is a large body of water It meets the mouth of

river seawater is the habitat of aquatic plants and
animals.

Spring is a water that comes from the

underground and return to the surface.

A lake is a body of water that is surrounded by land.

bigger than a pond.

A pond is an area filled with water that is smaller

than a lake. It may contain shallow water with
aquatic plants and animals.

Waterfall is a water that rashes down a mountain

(Divide the class into 4 groups. There are two tasks to be presented.
Each group will pick a rolled paper indicating the task they need to do.)

 1st Task: Create a concept map showing the importance of

and skills in daily living (The teacher will give students the chance to voice out themselves in
such a way they can share why is it important to understand the
relationship between living things and their environment.Passing a ball
is
a way to select who to answer.)
 Why do we need to understand the relationship between living
things and their environment?
 What are some living things may inhabit the landforms and water
forms?

(The teacher will initiate discussion of what has been learned but
the lesson
always ensure active participation rather than providing all information.)
