2021-16-19 Airbus Canada Limited Partnership (Type Certificate Previously Held by C Series
Aircraft Limited Partnership (CSALP); Bombardier, Inc.): Amendment 39-21682; Docket No.
FAA-2021-0269; Project Identifier MCAI-2020-01417-T.
None.
(c) Applicability
This AD applies to Airbus Canada Limited Partnership (type certificate previously held by C
Series Aircraft Limited Partnership (CSALP); Bombardier, Inc.) Model BD-500-1A10 and BD-500-
1A11 airplanes, certificated in any category, as identified in Transport Canada Civil Aviation
(TCCA) AD CF-2020-41, issued October 15, 2020 (TCCA AD CF-2020-41).
(d) Subject
(e) Reason
This AD was prompted by reports of in-flight engine shutdowns (IFESs); investigation results
indicated that this could be caused by high altitude climbs at higher thrust settings on engines with
certain thrust ratings. The FAA is issuing this AD to provide the flightcrew with information and
procedures for operation above 29,000 feet to prevent uncontained failure of an engine during an
IFES, which could result in structural damage and reduced structural integrity of the airplane.
(f) Compliance
Comply with this AD within the compliance times specified, unless already done.
(g) Requirements
Except as specified in paragraph (h) of this AD: Comply with all required actions and
compliance times specified in, and in accordance with, paragraph A., of TCCA AD CF-2020-41.
(1) Where TCCA AD CF-2020-41 refers to its effective date, this AD requires using the effective
date of this AD.
14
2021-16-19 2
(2) Where paragraph A. of TCCA AD CF-2020-41 requires amending the existing airplane flight
manual (AFM) by “incorporating the SUPPLEMENT 21 Operation above 29000 feet from AFM
Revision 15-A dated 10 September 2020,” this AD requires amending the existing AFM by
incorporating Supplement 21–Operation Above 29000 Feet, of Airbus A220-100 Airplane Flight
Manual, Publication BD500-3AB48-22200-00, and Airbus A220-300 Airplane Flight Manual
Publication BD500-3AB48-32200-00, both Issue 016, dated October 16, 2020.
(3) Where paragraph A. of TCCA AD CF-2020-41 specifies to “[i]nform all flight crews of the
new supplement and thereafter operate the aeroplane accordingly,” this AD does not require those
actions as those actions are already required by existing FAA operating regulations.
(4) Where paragraphs B. and C. of TCCA AD CF-2020-41 specify procedures for a borescope
inspection for signs of damage of the 1st stage axial low-pressure compressor (LPC) rotor of each
engine, to be performed after the AFM N1 limitation has been exceeded, this AD does not require
that action.
(5) Where paragraph C. of TCCA AD CF-2020-41 describes an optional installation of health
management unit reports to monitor N1 exceedances, this AD does not include that option.

2021-19-15 The Boeing Company: Amendment 39-21733; Docket No. FAA-2021-0451; Project
Identifier AD-2021-00007-T.
This AD replaces AD 2019-01-08, Amendment 39-19547 (84 FR 4318, February 15, 2019) (AD
2019-01-08).
(c) Applicability
This AD applies to The Boeing Company Model 777-200, -200LR, -300, and -300ER series
airplanes, certificated in any category, as identified in Boeing Special Attention Service Bulletin 777-
25-0649, Revision 2, dated October 8, 2020.
(d) Subject
This AD was prompted by a report that showed a non-compliance exists on some in-service
galley attendant seat fitting installations, and a determination that additional airplanes are subject to
the unsafe condition. The FAA is issuing this AD to address non-compliant flight attendant seats,
which could fail in a high-G crash and result in potential injury to flight attendants and consequent
inability of the flight attendants to assist with passenger evacuation in a timely manner.
(f) Compliance
Comply with this AD within the compliance times specified, unless already done.
Except as specified by paragraph (h) of this AD: At the applicable times specified in paragraph
1.E., “Compliance,” of Boeing Special Attention Service Bulletin 777-25-0649, Revision 2, dated
October 8, 2020, do all applicable actions identified as “RC” (required for compliance) in, and in
accordance with, the Accomplishment Instructions of Boeing Special Attention Service Bulletin 777-
25-0649, Revision 2, dated October 8, 2020.
17
2021-19-15 2
Where Boeing Special Attention Service Bulletin 777-25-0649, Revision 2, dated October 8,
2020, uses the phrase “the Revision 2 date of this service bulletin,” this AD requires using “the
effective date of this AD.”
Although the service information referenced in Boeing Special Attention Service Bulletin 777-
25-0649, Revision 2, dated October 8, 2020, specifies to submit certain information to the
manufacturer, this AD does not include that requirement.
This paragraph provides credit for the actions specified in paragraph (g) of this AD, if those
actions were performed before the effective date of this AD using Boeing Special Attention Service
Bulletin 777-25-0649, Revision 1, dated October 6, 2017 (which is incorporated by reference in AD
2019-01-08).
(1) The Manager, Seattle ACO Branch, FAA, has the authority to approve AMOCs for this AD,
if requested using the procedures found in 14 CFR 39.19. In accordance with 14 CFR 39.19, send
your request to your principal inspector or responsible Flight Standards Office, as appropriate. If
sending information directly to the manager of the certification office, send it to the attention of the
person identified in Related Information. Information may be emailed to: 9-ANM-Seattle-ACO-
AMOC-Requests@faa.gov.
(2) Before using any approved AMOC, notify your appropriate principal inspector, or lacking a
principal inspector, the manager of the responsible Flight Standards Office.
(3) An AMOC that provides an acceptable level of safety may be used for any repair,
modification, or alteration required by this AD if it is approved by The Boeing Company
Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) that has been authorized by the Manager, Seattle
ACO Branch, FAA, to make those findings. To be approved, the repair method, modification
deviation, or alteration deviation must meet the certification basis of the airplane, and the approval
must specifically refer to this AD.
(4) AMOCs approved for AD 2019-01-08 are approved as AMOCs for the corresponding
provisions of Boeing Special Attention Service Bulletin 777-25-0649, Revision 2, dated October 8,
2020, that are required by paragraph (g) of this AD.
(5) For service information that contains steps that are labeled as Required for Compliance (RC),
the provisions of paragraphs (k)(5)(i) and (ii) of this AD apply.
(i) The steps labeled as RC, including substeps under an RC step and any figures identified in an
RC step, must be done to comply with the AD. If a step or substep is labeled “RC Exempt,” then the
RC requirement is removed from that step or substep. An AMOC is required for any deviations to RC
steps, including substeps and identified figures.
(ii) Steps not labeled as RC may be deviated from using accepted methods in accordance with
the operator's maintenance or inspection program without obtaining approval of an AMOC, provided
the RC steps, including substeps and identified figures, can still be done as specified, and the airplane
can be put back in an airworthy condition.

2021-23-12 Transport and Commuter Category Airplanes: Amendment 39-21810; Docket No.
FAA-2021-0953; Project Identifier AD-2021-01169-T.
None.
(c) Applicability
This AD applies to all transport and commuter category airplanes equipped with a radio (also
known as radar) altimeter. These radio altimeters are installed on various transport and commuter
category airplanes including, but not limited to, the airplanes for which the design approval holder is
identified in paragraphs (c)(1) through (19) of this AD.
(d) Subject
Air Transport Association (ATA) of America Code 31, Indicating/Recording System; 34,
Navigation.
29
2021-23-12 2
This AD was prompted by a determination that radio altimeters cannot be relied upon to perform
their intended function if they experience interference from wireless broadband operations in the 3.7-
3.98 GHz frequency band (5G C-Band). The FAA is issuing this AD because radio altimeter
anomalies that are undetected by the automation or pilot, particularly close to the ground (e.g.,
landing flare), could lead to loss of continued safe flight and landing.
(f) Compliance
Comply with this AD within the compliance times specified, unless already done.
On or before January 4, 2022: Revise the Limitations Section of the existing AFM by
incorporating the limitations specified in figure 1 to paragraph (g) of this AD. This may be done by

(d) Subject
This AD was prompted by reports of erratic electrical system status on the push button
annunciators (PBAs) and the engine instrument and crew alerting system (EICAS), while on-ground
and during flight. The FAA is issuing this AD to address erroneous indications that could mislead
pilots, causing them to turn off active electrical power sources, leading to partial or complete loss of
electrical power. Loss of electrical power could result in the loss of flight displays and reduced
controllability of the airplane.
(f) Compliance
Comply with this AD within the compliance times specified, unless already done.
Within 60 days after the effective date of this AD: Revise the Emergency Procedures and Non-
