PRODUCT A high build solvent free polyurethane anticorrosive coating. Highly resistant to marine and industrial
DESCRIPTION environments, buried conditions, ground water, effluents, salt water, and a wide range of oils and chemicals.
Extremely abrasion resistant, high mechanical strength.

INTENDED USES Designed for the efficient long term protection of steel and concrete structures in aggressive environments.
Will provide long term protection to the internal and external surfaces of pipelines and field joints. Suitable for
chemical plants, land and marine structures etc. Service temperature range -20°C to +80°C.

Meets the performance requirements of GIS/CW6: 2020

Curing Agent Versathane Spray Applied Activator

Mix Ratio 3 parts Base : 1 part Activator by volume

Specific Gravity Base: 1.30 Activator: 1.22 Mixed: 1.28

Volume Solids 100%

Recommended Film Thickness 1.0 - 1.5 mm depending on service conditions. Can be applied up to
5 mm in one continuous wet on wet application.

Theoretical Spreading Rate 1 m² / litre @ 1000µm

Application Method Plural component hot airless spray

Re-coat After 1 hour and within 24 hours of initial application.

Drying Times at 20ºC Touch Dry 30 minutes Hard Dry 4 hours

Full Cure at 20ºC 7 days to Shore D65-80

SURFACE Steel:
PREPARATION
Ensure surfaces are free from contamination. Prepare surfaces by abrasive blast cleaning to ISO
8501-1 Sa 2 ½. - surface profile depth 75-100 microns.

Concrete:

Remove all laitance and other contaminants by blast cleaning. Ensure the concrete is dry to a reading of less
than 10% moisture. Seal with Versacure Mortar LV Sealer.

APPLICATION The temperature of the substrate must be at least 30C above the dew point during application and relative
humidity below 80%.

The surface must be kept clean and dry, and VERSATHANE or DURA-LINK TC applied within 4 hours and
before any visible signs of deterioration of the cleaned surface.

Application by two component spray system set at 3:1 mixing ratio.


Base temperature approx. 40 - 50oC
Hardener temperature approx. 15 - 25oC
Spray Tip Size 600 - 1000 microns (0.024 - 0.038 “)

Cleaning solvent. All equipment must be cleaned thoroughly immediately after use with Pracsolv 1

REGULATORY DATA Packaging Supplied in 820 litre units consisting of 3 x 205 litres base:1 x 205 litre hardener

and 80 litre composite packs consisting of 3 x 20 litres base:1 x 20 litre hardener

Flash Point 200°C

VOC 0 g/litre

Shelf life: 24 months from date of manufacture when stored in the original sealed containers at 20°C.
Hardener component contains Diisocyanates and as from 24.08.23 adequate training is required before
industrial or professional use.

PRECAUTIONS Ensure all waste materials and empty containers are disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
