Brahma is a Hindu god who is the first in the Hindu trimurti, or triumvirate,

and is responsible for creating the world and all living creatures. He is also
known as the Grandfather and is associated with creation, knowledge, and
the Vedas. Brahma is often depicted with four heads and four arms.

Vishnu is a Hindu god who is the protector of the universe and


preservation. He is also known as Narayana and Hari, and is the supreme
being in Vaishnavism, a major tradition of Hinduism. Vishnu is often
depicted with the following characteristics:
 Club: Also known as the Kaumodaki, this is Vishnu's most potent
weapon
 Lotus flower: Often depicted with Vishnu standing on it
 Blue skin: Represents Vishnu's power
 Conch shell: Represents Vishnu's protection
 Mace: Represents Vishnu's power
Ganesha is a Hindu god with the head of an elephant and the body of a
human, and is known as the remover of obstacles. He is the son of Shiva,
the god of destruction, and Parvati, the goddess, and the brother of
Karthikeya, the god of war. Ganesha is associated with wisdom, intelligence,
success, and good luck, and is traditionally worshipped before any major
undertaking. He is also the patron of bankers, authors, scribes, and
intellectuals.

Lakshmi is the Hindu goddess of wealth, good fortune, youth, and


beauty. She is the wife of Vishnu, the god who maintains the
universe. Lakshmi is also known as the goddess of prosperity, and in India,
people worship her and ask for her blessings.
Saraswati is a Hindu goddess who represents wisdom, knowledge, creativity,
and music. Her name comes from the Sanskrit word saras, which means
"that which is fluid". She is also known as Bharati, Shatarupa, Vedamata,
and Brahmi.

Lord Krishna is the Hindu god of love, compassion, and protection. Known
as the Dark One, he is often depicted with dark blue skin. Krishna is an
avatar of the god Vishnu, but he is also worshiped as a god in his own right.
Shiva's role is to destroy the universe in order to re-create it. Hindus believe
his powers of destruction and recreation are used even now to destroy the
illusions and imperfections of this world, paving the way for beneficial
change. According to Hindu belief, this destruction is not arbitrary, but
constructive.

Kali is the Hindu goddess of death, time, and doomsday, and is also known
as the Divine Mother. She is often associated with sexuality and violence,
but is also considered a strong mother figure and symbol of motherly
love. Kali embodies shakti, which is feminine energy, creativity, and
fertility. She is also an incarnation of Parvati, the wife of the Hindu god
Shiva.
