1.0 Introduction
The following test procedure has been prepared for the testing and commissioning of the equipment
at ……………………………………. project India.
All Testing and Commissioning documentation must be produced in accordance with all relevant
codes of practice of India and international standard.

2.0 Test Equipment

The following test instrumentation & tools will be required to undertake the tests detailed within this
procedure:
 500 Volt Megger
 Relay Test Kit,
 Multimeter, Tong Tester,
 Switch Board, Tool Box Kit,
 Test Lead with wires and Cables
 Any other Test Equipment the Manufacturer deems necessary

3.0 Testing and Commissioning


 The installation of equipment is substantially complete, and is live. Equipment and System
Testing and Commissioning documentation must be provided to verify the following tests and
inspections have been carried out.
 All testing and commissioning documentation, including manufacturers recommended
procedures, shall be supplied to the commissioning management team to confirmed
 Wear insulating gloves. Perform the discharge and grounding of the circuit at the conclusion
of each test.
 The following steps shall have been carried out:

 Visual checks for physical installation against Approved drawings.


 Check the Equipment ratings are in accordance with the approved working drawings
 Check general construction and standard of finishing are acceptable.
 Check leveling and alignment are correct and acceptable.
 Check equipment properly mounted as per manufacturers recommendations,
 Check warning labels and signage are fitted
 Check earthing bar and connections are provided and correct.
 Check bolts, nuts, screws etc for connections have been tightened correctly
 Check operating handles and keys c/w mounting cabinet have been provided.
 Check rubber insulating mats have been provided to front and rear of panels.
 Check ‘As Built’ record schematic diagrams have been installed in the room. The schematics
to be framed and wall mounted.

5.0 Commissioning Test


5.1 I R Value Test
5.1.1 Procedure:
Relay testing carried out by relay test kit. Relay default setting to be done and operation to be
checked 2 times ,5 times,10 times current injected and value should be checked for all phases Over
current ,Earth Fault and Instantaneous unit the corresponding reading should be recorded in the site
register.
