MOVEMENT OF COMPONENTS CAN KILL OR CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR CAN
CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING
GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND

A. Safety Precautions
(1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIER(S), specified by the operator's instructions and
your local regulations.
SUBTASK 28-42-00-860-050-A

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration


(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002-A ) or (Ref. TASK
24-41-00-861-002-A-01 ) or (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002-A-02 ).
(2) Do the ADIRS start procedure (Ref. TASK 34-10-00-860-002-A).
(3) Do the EIS start procedure (ECAM only) (Ref. TASK 31-60-00-860-001-A), then:
(a) On the ECAM control panel (CP), push the FUEL pushbutton switch (P/BSW).
(b) Make sure that the FUEL page shows on the ECAM lower display-unit (DU).
(c) On the ECAM CP, push the STS P/BSW.
(d) Make sure that the STATUS page shows on the ECAM lower DU.
(e) Make sure that there are no FUEL messages under MAINTENANCE.

C. Fuel Configuration
(1) If it is necessary to do a test of the ultracomps 50QT and 52QT and/or the dualcomp 53QT, refuel the
applicable fuel tank to this quantity
(Ref. TASK 12-11-28-650-003-A)
:
• the applicable wing tank to 1000 kg (2204.6220 lb) minimum
• the center tank to 1500 kg (3306.9330 lb) minimum.

to this quantity

WARNING: MAKE SURE THE AREA AROUND THE AIRCRAFT IS SAFE BEFORE YOU START
THE REFUEL/DEFUEL PROCEDURE. IN THE SAFETY AREA, DO NOT:
• SMOKE
• MAKE SPARKS OR FIRE
• USE ANY EQUIPMENT WHICH IS NOT APPROVED FOR REFUEL/DEFUEL PROCEDURES.
AIRCRAFT FUEL IS FLAMMABLE.
(1) If necessary, do the test of ultracomps 50QT and 52QT and/or dualcomp 53QT as follows:
(a) Refuel the applicable fuel tank as follows

Control and Display Unit (MCDU) can initially show CH1 or CH2.

(1) Set the upper and lower display BRT switches, on the ECAM CP to OFF.
(2) Set the OFF/NAV/ATT selector switches of the IR1, IR2 and IR3 on the cockpit overhead panel to
OFF.
(3) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-862-002-A ) or (Ref. TASK
24-41-00-862-002-A-01 ) or (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-862-002-A-02 ).

C. Removal of Equipment
(1) Remove the safety barriers.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other
items.
