Summers are here in all its glory. And if summers are here holidays can't be too far behind. It's time to enjoy
your vacations with family and friends. It is also time to learn new things from your surroundings and
experiences.
Explore new places, listen to stories, try new skills, draw and colour, play both indoor and outdoor games and
keep yourself fit. We wish you an enjoyable and fun packed summer break from May19,2024.
We will meet again after the vacation on July 1,2024. Remember to bring along your Holiday Activity Folder.

ENGLISH
1. Read any two stories.
a. Rapunzel
b. The Gingerbread Man
c. Cinderella
d. Hansel and Gretel
e. The Elves and the Shoemaker
f. Little Red Riding Hood
Pick out ten new words from the stories you have read. Make a beautiful Pictionary by writing these words,
their meanings and a picture related to the word.
2. Word Bank-Read and learn the given words to enhance your vocabulary.

children, octopus, sparrow, tiny, wings, pretty, forget, remember, flapped, heard, jumped, animals,

3. Draw, cut and paste a big circle on an A-3 sized sheet. Write a word on it.
For Example - HAPPINESS. Make as many words as you can and write them on different shapes of paper
cuttings. You can use your creativity to make your wall hanging attractive.

5. Do writing practice and complete page no. 1-15 in your cursive writing book “Strokes”.

MATHS
1. Write number names from 100 to 200.

2. Make a wall hanging of ordinal numbers.( 1 st -10th)
3. Do practice of addition and subtraction sums on daily basis.
4. Make a colourful mat on topic tables (2-10) on A3 size sheet and get it laminated.
5. Make a number cone of any three digit number. Write the number in different ways. (see the picture for
reference)
EVS
1. Make a family tree on A3 size sheet.

2. Make three illustrative and message giving badges on SAVE ELECTRICITY,SAVE WATER, SAVE
ENVIRONMENT etc.
3. Make your favourite animal mask and learn few sentences about the same for public speaking.
Make a beautiful craft for your dad on the occasion of Father’s Day. You can surprise him with a card,
paper flower bouquet, photo frame etc.
Note : Share the picture of craft with class teacher on the same day.

FUN ACTIVITY
Magical Dancing Rice
Instructions:
⮚ Fill the jar 3/4 full with water.
⮚ Add food colour if desired.
⮚ Add 1 tablespoon of baking soda and stir,mix completely.
⮚ Add 1/4 cup of uncooked rice.
⮚ Add 1-2 tablespoon of white vinegar.
⮚ Watch the magical rice dance.
