Point: Syabrubesi Point: Sybrubesi

This is one of the most popular trekking areas in Nepal. The Langtang
National Park encompasses beautiful landscapes, meadows, and old
monasteries.
This trek will pleasantly surprise you as you walk past the forests
savoring the stunning views of mountains, valleys, and glaciers. The
Chortens, mani walls, and monasteries reflect the influence of the
Buddhist religion in this peaceful region. There are opportunities for
side treks such as a hike to Tserko Ri or Kyanjin Ri.
The trek begins with a drive along the Trishuli River, north of
Kathmandu, past Trishuli Bazaar and Dhunche to Syabru Bensi, a
Sherpa village. This route is an ancient trading route between Nepal
and Tibet.
As you walk past numerous forests, you might spot local wildlife like
the musk deers, Himalayan monal, tahrs, wild dogs, serows, or even
snow leopards.
It will take you two days to reach Langtang. You will be trekking
from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel on your first day on the route. Then
the next day from Lama Hotel, you will reach Langtang Village, where
you will receive a hearty welcome from the local Tamangs.
The next day we will trek to kyanjing Gompa.
Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu (1350M/4265ft ) and transfer to
Hotel
On this day you will be landed at the Capital City of
Nepal-Kathmandu (1300m/4265 ft). It is the only
International Airport of Nepal. You will be received by
Sherpa Himalaya Representative.
Then with a brief introduction you will be welcomed by
flower Garland. You will be Taken to your Hotel where you
can rest and freshen up to keep away Jet Lag. You will
get a nearby location map from hotel reception and you
can explore around.
Overnight at KTM Hotel

Day02 : Drive from Kathmandu (1,300m / 4,265ft) to

Syabrubesi (1,503m / 4,655ft) 7-8 hrs Drive
After an early breakfast, we start with a scenic drive on a local bus out
of Kathmandu Valley to Syabrubesi - northwest of Kathmandu. From
the way, you can see beautiful scenery - raging rivers, terraced fields,
typical Nepali villages, and snow-capped peaks. The road is smooth up
to Trishuli Bazaar. Then the road becomes a little rugged as it ascends
to Dhunche and descends back down to Syabrubesi, a bazaar town
with much to explore - including riverside Valley.

Day 03 :Trek From Syabrubesi (1,503m / 4,655ft) to Lama Hotel

(2,470m / 8,103ft) 6-7 hrs
From Syabrubesi, we begin our first day on the trail. We cross
the Bhote Kosi to Langtang River and then follow the Langtang
River through the fertile jungle and terraced fields. Up ahead, we pass
the landslide area, climb up to Bamboo, and gradually ascend
to Rimche, located at the bank of Langtang River. On the way lie
several rural settlements, bamboo and birch forests, where you might
spot rare, local wildlife - including the red panda. We continue to trek
up to the Lama Hotel village.
Day 04 :Trek from Lama Hotel (2,470m / 8,103ft) to Langtang
village (3,430m / 11,255ft)
We continue our trek alongside the Langtang River while ascending
through dense forests. On the way, we will be able to catch glimpses of
snowy peaks beckoning us forward. Eventually, the narrow river valley
widens out at Ghoda Tabela. In the past, there was a Tibetan
resettlement project running here. We will stop at the Ghoda
Tabela army check post to register our papers. Then we cross the east
side of the river as we get closer to the Langtang Valley. We continue
past the prayer wheels driven by flowing water and prayer flags to
scenic Langtang village, inhabited by Tamangs.

Day 05: Trek from Langtang village (3,430m / 11,255ft) to Kyanjin

Gompa (3,865m / 12,675ft) (3-4 hrs)
We continue ascending as we pass through small abandoned
villages and meadows. The wide Langtang valley offers far-reaching
panoramas of the mighty Himalayas. Our route crosses several
tributaries and a glacial moraine. We, then, finally arrive at what once
was the largest settlement of our journey, a place known as Kyanjin
Gompa, named after the nearby, ancient monastery of Kyanjin Gompa.
The Kyanjin Gompa is mostly abandoned after being badly affected by
the 2015 earthquake.

Day 06 : Exploration Day at Kyanjin Gompa

We will stay at Kyanjin Gompa for acclimatization on this day. The upper
Langtang Valley offers stunning close views of thetall mountains and
glaciers. We will be visiting several sites, such as the Yak cheese factory
and Kyanjin Gompa Monastery. If you want, you can trek to Langshisha
Kharka and the Tsergo Ri (4,985M) viewpoint, from where you can
catch the beautiful mountain views of the Himalayan peaks -
including Langtang Lirung (7,227m), Langtang II (6,596m), and Yala
peak (5,500m). We return to Kyanjin Gompa for the evening.
Day 07 :Trek from Kyanjin Gompa (3,865m / 12,675ft) to Lama
Hotel (2,470m / 8,103ft) (6-7 hrs)
We will leave Kyangjin Gompa admiring the last glimpse of the
beautiful mountains standing with pride and glory. But it is time for us
to retrace the previous route we took to Langtang Village, and we will
stop at Ghoda Tabela for lunch. The army check post at Ghoda Tabela
will also register our exit. After a leisurely lunch, we continue down
through the dense river valley forests to Lama Hotel, where we will be
staying for the night.

Day 08 :Trek from Lama Hotel (2,470m / 8,103ft) to Syabrubesi

(1,420m / 4,655ft) (5-6 hrs)
Today being the final trekking day, we head to Syabrubensi to drive
back to Kathmandu. We will be walking along the Langtang River,
heading downwards to the beautiful river valley. As you descend
through bamboo and birch forests, you will see amazing landscapes and
cross the Langtang and Bhote Koshi rivers to reach Syabrubesi. This
marks the end of our trekking journey. The next day we will be driving
back to Kathmandu.

Day 09 :Drive from Syabrubesi (1,420m / 4,655ft) to Kathmandu

(1400m / 4,393ft) (7-8 hrs) Drive
We will drive from Syabrubensi to Kathmandu, which will take about
seven to nine hours. This drive begins early morning. During this drive,
you will be getting scenic views of the Trishuli river valley as we head
south from the hills. Along the way, you will see terraced farmlands,
meadows, and hopefully final glimpses of the snow-capped mountains.
Once we arrive in Kathmandu, we will drop you at your hotel.
