help of technology. - Digital Consultant and Project Manager for study to build
The Arab countries e-portal for intertrade facilitation, the customer is Arab
States League under the supervision of International Islamic Trade Finance
Corporation itfc. The study was analyzing the current state of intertrade
between Arab countries, current trade transportation agreements and the e-
government level, trade facilitation e-services and telecommunication services
in Arab countries. The study has concluded the targeted eservices that could
facilitate the intertrade between Arab countries with detailed description. The
study built the road map for building the targeted eservices. The study has been
conducted in the year 2020 with duration 17 months. - Digital Transformation
Consultant and Team leader for a preliminary Business Automation Study for
Red Sea Ports Authority (Egypt). The study is to analysis the current port
procedures, specifying how to use IT for improving the port performance and
enhance port KPI’s through IT applications, The study was developed for a
group of 5 ports (Port Tawfique, Adabia, Newiba, Safaga and Ghardaga ports).
The study has been conducted in the year 2013 with duration 3 months.

The main responsibility is to manage different company teams responsible for
analyzing the ports management information systems and enhancing the ports
business process through improving the use of IT applications and suggesting
different updates in the ports workflow. The targeted ports were (Alexandria
port, Dekhila port, Damietta port, Adabia port and Newiba port) as ISFP is the IT
operator for these ports. Some of the major activities done are analyzing the
joint workflows of all port community parties, documenting the workflow
between different parties as well as reengineering the port processes to
minimize the time and number of processes for finishing the vessels and cargo
procedures and specifying the required applications business and technical
specifications for automating the reengineered processes in the ports.

Applications Manager in 2 big projects for implementing and handling daily
operations for port management system in Alexandria port and Damietta port.
My responsibility was to manage several teams to implement the port
management information system and port community systems. The port system
is exchanging electronic data with the Customs system, GOEIC system, Maritime
Safety Authority system, Egyptian Warehousing Company system and Alexandria
International Container Terminal (ACIT) system. The port is using a port
management system named SPS "Smart Port Solution" Package for managing
port's activities (Vessel Traffic , Cargo Handling , Container Handling ,
Stevedoring Activities , Warehousing Activities , Tourist Terminal Activities, ISPS
Code ,Weight Bridges Activities , Gates Activities , Billing , ..etc.) . Also, the
container terminal is using SPARCS package from NAVIS company. The port is
using IBM Message Broker to handle messages exchange between different
systems. I was working for that project from 2006 till 2008 for 3 years.

My responsibilities were to support the Egyptian maritime sector companies
(Port Saied Container Terminal, Damietta port, Red Sea Ports Authority, Abu
Simple & Tiba shipping agency, Egyptian National Maritime Company, The
Egyptian Marine Supply & Contracting Co., ..etc.) that are the customers of the
MRCC in implementing the IT solutions provided by the MRCC.
