Message from President
The ethos of Enora MUN cannot be expressed more strong than these words of Rudyard Kipling. The very
essence of having unity is a victory in itself. It correlates to the fact the individuals have broken the
shackles of individualism and stepped into the world of trust, selflessness, compassion and ability to handle
problems together. We cannot deny the simple truth that we were the ones who have been constantly
shaping this reality. But another simple truth is that it is not too late to change something. We can make
this world a better place if we try. Model United Nations is one such plat forms where we can try to
change this reality by voicing our opinion as young leaders and contribute by giving solutions for the
heated problems in the world.
As the President, I feel honoured and privileged to host all the prospective delegates from various parts of
the world attending the conference.
I assure to deliver an experience worth remembering not only from an academic point of view but also as
a plat form where each one of you can shed your inhibitions and speak your minds so that we can create
a world we want to see. With so much being offered, I would encourage the students to immerse
themselves completely into this fun and enriching experience and take away with them knowledge and
experience of a lifetime.

Warm Regards,
(President)
UNHRC Agenda: Deliberation over the violation of human
rights in the areas of conflict and post conflict.

The United Nations Human Rights Council is one of the major advisory sub-councils
of the United Nations General Assembly serving as the ground for debates on
Humanitarian matters with the essential mandate of protecting human rights for
citizens across the globe. Its roles revolves around reviewing actions of member
states and raising issues of concern with regards to the agendas presently of note
to the international community.
Having been established in the year 2006, the United Nations Human Rights
Council replaced the previously existing United Nations Commission on Human
Rights through United Nations General Assembly resolution 60/251. It has 47 serving
members and can invite observers to contribute to their present agenda subtopics
as it sees fit. It also has to duty to review the Special Rapporteurs and analyse and
submit reports regarding the same to the Social and Humanitarian Committee.
Being one of the most important councils in current times, the council has managed
to achieve tasks considered way above its magnitude and continued to be a key
player in setting the global agenda platform on human rights.
UNcsw Agenda: Deliberation over the economic and
political empowerment of women.

The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) is the principal global

intergovernmental body exclusively dedicated to the promotion of gender equality
and the empowerment of women. A functional commission of the Economic and
Social Council (ECOSOC), it was established by ECOSOC resolution 11(II) of 21 June
1946.
The CSW is instrumental in promoting women’s rights, documenting the reality of
women’s lives throughout the world, and shaping global standards on gender
equality and the empowerment of women.
In 1996, ECOSOC in resolution 1996/6 (see p. 20) expanded the Commission’s
mandate and decided that it should take a leading role in monitoring and
reviewing progress and problems in the implementation of the Beijing Declaration
and Platform for Action, and in mainstreaming a gender perspective in UN
activities.
UN Women supports all aspects of the Commission’s work. We also facilitate the
participation of civil society representatives.
aippm Agenda: Discussion and Deliberation on Secular
Fabric of the nation.

With more than 2000 registered political parties in India. The politics of the nation
has been constantly changing. Typically called before the session of the parliament
or introduction of the bill the All India Political Party Meets are conventions that
allow the diverse political groups of India to reach a consensus on decisions of
national importance, before sessions begin. With the absence of legislative power
of the parliament the initial purpose of the forum was for unrestricted political
debate, discussion and deliberation which may not be allowed in parliament due to
time constraints but this body now aids in providing a better insight into national
issues. The AIPPM committee in MUN aims to mimic this reality by reproducing the
stages of policies and jurisdiction, with delegates representing personalities from
the divergent group of Indian political parties. While stepping into the shoes of
assigned politician the AIPPM committee expects its representatives to be well
versed, with their political party’s ideology, manifesto and beliefs which helps the
representatives grasp the multi-layered processes that go behind policy-making
and governance in India, providing them with a explicit experience to the hitches
and hurdles that political parties accost in modern times. The AIPPM committee,
unlike other conventional MUN committees characterized by heated debates, cross
talks, high levels of negotiations and political democracy, echoes hopes of change
and evolution!
lok sabha
Agenda: Discussion and Deliberation on Reservation
System in India.

Lok Sabha is the lower house of the Indian Parliament, which is the legislative body
of the Indian government. It is the most important legislative body in India and is
responsible for passing bills and making laws. The term "Lok Sabha" comes from two
Hindi words, "Lok" which means people, and "Sabha" which means assembly, thus it
can be translated as "the assembly of the people".
The Lok Sabha consisted of 545 members, of which 543 are elected by the people
of India through a direct election, and two members were appointed by the
President of India to represent the Anglo-Indian community if it is not adequately
represented in the house. The members of Lok Sabha are elected for a term of five
years, unless the house is dissolved earlier.
The Lok Sabha has many important functions, such as passing bills, debating on
important issues, questioning the government and its policies, and passing the
annual budget. The Lok Sabha is also responsible for electing the Prime Minister of
India and the Speaker of the House.
The Lok Sabha is a crucial institution of Indian democracy and plays a vital role in
shaping the future of India. Parliament functions in three session in a year and Lok
Sabha provides very fierce platform for the elected politicians to represent their
constituency and debate together. In Model UN and Youth Parliament, it is one of
the most prominent Indian committees.
Agenda: Discussion on Territorial development and

g20 (Beginners Committee)

localisation of SDGs.

The G20 (Group of Twenty) is a global forum that brings together the leaders of the
world's major economies to discuss issues of international economic and financial
importance. The G20 comprises 19 countries and the European Union, representing
around 90% of global GDP, 80% of global trade, and two-thirds of the world's
population.
The G20 was established in 1999 in response to the global financial crises of the late
1990s. Its members include Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France,
Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South
Korea, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the European Union.
The G20 holds annual summits, where leaders discuss a range of issues such as economic
growth, financial regulation, trade, climate change, and global health. The G20 also
coordinates with other international organizations such as the International Monetary
Fund (IMF), the World Bank, and the World Trade Organization (WTO) to promote
international cooperation and policy coordination.
The G20 has played a critical role in shaping the global economic and financial
landscape, particularly during times of crisis. For example, during the 2008-2009
financial crisis, the G20 worked together to coordinate policy responses and stabilize
financial markets. The G20 has also been instrumental in promoting sustainable and
inclusive economic growth, and addressing global challenges such as climate change
and the COVID-19 pandemic. This time it's presidency is being done by India in 2023.
