Here are few tips for you to act as a facilitator to help your child balance his/her eagerness in
pursuing adventure, creativity and self-expression with development of responsibility.
 Make sure that you spend quality time with your ward.
 Teach them the importance of moral values in their life.
 Motivate them to read good books.
 Encourage and help your child in shouldering responsibilities in household chores. It
will aid them to be independent.
 Talk respectfully with the child and encourage your child to do the same.
 Encourage your ward to take up yoga or any other form of healthy activity during the
vacation
 Allow them to complete homework on their own under your guidance.

 Take a walk in your neighbourhood with an adult. Make a note if there are garbage piles
and stagnant water around your home. Who do you think is responsible for the ugly,
insanitary mess that is common in our cities today? Collaborate your thoughts and
prepare a report in a presentable manner based on your walk and research.

Andrew Fang is a legend in bowling. He was voted Sportsman of the Year in 2000. Andrew is
only 23. He started bowling when he was nine, picking up the sport from his parents.. “When I
was just starting out, my family supported me by paying for my training and equipment,” says
the Arts undergraduate whose major is economics. Competition or not, Andrew has no problem
keeping fit. “I like biking. Rain or shine, you‟ll find me on my mountain bike cycling for at

however, is education. “Getting my degree is my biggest wish now. After that, I can concentrate
fully on professional bowling,” Andrew states firmly.
