8. A manufacturer of plastic door stops, manufactures a door stop with the following shape

The shape has a cross section in the shape of a trapezium with a circular hole (diameter 1.2 cm) running through the
middle of it.

(a) Calculate the volume of plastic required to manufacture the door stop. Give your answer in cm3, correct to
two decimal places..

(b) The cost of manufacturing the door stop is determined a fixed labour cost of $49.80 and the cost of the
plastic ($2315 per m3). Calculate the cost of manufacturing the door stop. Give your answer to the nearest
whole dollar.
