NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF URUE OFFONG/ ORUKO STUDENTS’ (NAUOS)

WORLDSWIDE PROJECT NAME: Free JAMB (CBT) TRAINING FOR THREE HUNDRED

PEOPLE.

PROBLEM
STATEMENT:

Through statistics gathered, scoring the cut off mark during jamb examination is a major
challenge hindering young people from being admitted into the university.
In 2021, the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board conrmed that the performance of the
year’s examination was the worst they have ever recorded.
Not too many schools in Nigeria take Computer Education seriously and some other quite
simply do not have the facilities to encourage such among their students.
This is determinate especially in this days and age where nearly every task has a digital option
which is mostly used and preferable than any other.
It is very sad and sorry situation to see candidates who have likely read and prepared
adequately for their jamb exams, fumble through the questions slowly and clumsily
because they haven’t had experience operating a computer.
The examination hall is no good place to begin a journey into the computer world of
computer with all the tension and anxiety already permeating the atmosphere, hence the need to
properly train and acquaint young people with computer and the CBT environment
specically.
