It gives me immense pleasure to invite you to the First Edition of Beaconhouse


College Gulberg Model United Nations Conference, hosted by BCP Gulberg from
13th to 14th January 2024. With five committees, all of which further our vision of a
world of solidarity, trust, and peace. We aim to provide an intellectually
stimulating environment to the delegates of your institution to engage in fruitful
discussion and learn through experience the intricacies of debating, diplomacy and
negotiations.

We endeavor, through this conference, to establish a paradigm change in the spirit


with which Model United Nations conferences are conducted, as well as provide the
best of logistical support to delegates and dignitaries in order to facilitate smooth
and efficient three days of deliberations.

While promising you an indelible experience that is both learning and entertaining,
we look forward to your institution’s enthusiastic participation. I hope to see you
make the most of this opportunity to showcase your immaculate talents . I have
faith that each one of you will do a marvelous job!

I, Manal Kashif, stand before you, ready to assume the role of Secretary General and embark on a remarkable journey
to deliver an unforgettable experience.

For the debating society of BCPG, this MUN represents far more than a mere accolade to embellish our CVs. It
embodies a dream nurtured by our society for quite some time. Witnessing this event evolve into reality and
observing individuals from diverse backgrounds immerse themselves in the art of diplomacy and negotiation is the
ultimate reward we seek.
It is for this profound reason that I implore each of you to be part of this extraordinary journey, the BCGMUN - a
conference that promises to etch lasting memories in your hearts and minds.

The entire BCGMUN 2024 team has made it a primary focus to highlight the catastrophes faced globally. With
international instability at its peak, we took it upon ourselves to not only conduct a successful conference but

importance of reevaluating and revisiting the current circumstances and using our accumulated knowledge to

Registration Matrix
The process for registrations is as follows:

Registrations open on 15th December, 2023.


You may access the registration form from our Instagram Handle.
Multiple delegations can be registered by an institute. [ In case of multiple
delegations, kindly specify the delegations as ( A, B, C ) ].
Please wait for a confirmation mail from our registration team.
Registration payment may be submitted at the day of the event or to the Parent
Relations Officer. Incase of online payments kindly deposit the amount in the account
that has been mentioned below and attach a screenshot of the payment to the form.
The registration link is open to every institute, college and school.
A delegation must consist of minimum 3 delegates and maximum 5 delegates.
All the delegates in a delegation must choose different committees.

Committees;
This year BCGMUN will furnish 5 committees. BCGMUN takes pride in introducing a new
committee, MEOW (Managing Energy of the World).
Kindly note that:
PNA (Joint Session) will be a bilingual committee [i.e: All delegates must speak in
English or Urdu].
The winning merit of PNA (Joint Session) would include the use of both languages and
the proceedings.
PNA (Joint Session) will have personalities, not countries.
MEOW will be a crisis committee and the delegates would be representing countries.

Day 1: Global Village


The Global Village is a central event at the BCGMUN, dedicated to fostering
cross-cultural understanding and celebrating the world's rich diversity.
Contestants will have the opportunity to showcase their countries by presenting
their culinary delicacies and traditional attire, offering a captivating fusion of
flavors and customs. Moreover, participants will compete for an enticing prize:
a cash award of 25,000 rupees that will be granted to the winner of the Global
Village competition. Get ready for a journey that explores global cultures and
the chance to claim this prestigious honor!

Day 2: Formal Dinner


As the sun will set on two intense days of impassioned debate and intellectual
rigor, delegates and participants will have the opportunity to finally lay aside
their diplomatic roles and revel in a well-deserved respite. After the conferment
of prestigious awards, including Best Delegate, Outstanding Diplomat and
Honourable Mentions all will come together in a spirit of camaraderie and
mutual respect to enjoy the culminating event of this conference - the Formal
Dinner. This evening, replete with delectable cuisine and an air of refinement, is
poised to become a cherished memory in the hearts of all those who gather to
celebrate the fruits of their intellectual labor. Moreover the delegates will
experience an enchanting evening of music and gourmet cuisine at our
upcoming formal dinner musical night. Set in a sophisticated ambiance, this
event promises an unforgettable fusion of melodious tunes and culinary
excellence. Join us for a night of refined elegance and artistic delight, where the
finest cuisine and enchanting music come together to create a truly memorable
experience.

Award Policy;

The Award Policy as per tradition has been set at strictly 10% of the
Present Decorum in the committee, ensuring competitiveness and
thrill.

The Winners shall be crowned:

Best Delegate: (Gaval, Certificate and a cash prize of PKR 5000)


Outstanding Diplomat: (Gaval and Certificate)
Honourable Mention (Certificate)
Special Mention (Certificate)

Please note that:

The Top Two teams with the most awards, in particular, shall be
designated Best Delegation and Runners Up respectively.
There will be approximately 1 Best Delegate, 2 Outstanding
Diplomats, 3 Honorable Mentions, and 5 Special Mentions per
each committee.

Code of Conduct;

All participating students must comply with these guidelines.

Misuse or damage of any equipment provided by the management will not be


tolerated.
Teams are expected to be punctual and on time for all the events scheduled for
them.
Delegates are expected to be in formal clothing or school uniform and are expected
to utilize respectful language. Any kind of vulgar or forged language will not be
catered to.
Any drugs found will be confiscated.
Vaping or use of alcohol or any other intoxicant at the venue can result in
expulsion from the event.
Bringing any weapons to the venue including tasers can result in consequences.
Delegates are expected to bring their laptops and printouts.
Schedule for each sub-event will be followed; no extra time will be given.
The teams of each school should be accompanied by a chaperone/faculty member.
Vandalism, littering, and theft are strictly forbidden.
Damaging school property or entering any restricted area is strictly prohibited.
SOPS and safety measures should be strictly followed.
Informal behavior with the judges, ACDs and the management will not be catered.
The decision of judges will be final. Any problems can be addressed directly to the
Equity Officers.
Delegates must wear their delegate cards during the event.
Delegates are not allowed to leave the campus during the event.
Using unfair means to gain an advantage over the other participants in an attempt
to win can result in the disqualification of awards.
All participants need to be aware of the Media Team’s right to photograph and
record videos throughout the duration of the event for publications and
promotional purposes.
Decorum should be maintained during all committee sessions.
Please note that any violation of the aforementioned clauses may result in strict
actions being taken by BCGMUN management and immediate disqualification of the
delegate/delegation. Moreover, the executive council of the conference holds every
right to amend or add policies that are not mentioned in the respective code of
conduct currently, if they find it necessary to do so.
