6 years stay ko sa La Salle and all my hardwork was paid up in the end. From 2
years sa Senior High (for academic training in preparation for college) to 4 years
College (for formal academic work and pursuance for my course). Wala gd ko ga give
up para ma tapos ni. As a matter of fact, survival is at oftentimes ang challenge when it
comes to mind para ma achieve ang goal regardless ano grades kwaon mo da.
Prioritizing life choices and risk management will always be there even ang time na
gamit mo everyday para ma achieve sya. Mga pictures ko is compiled ni based sa
college adventures ko as a Bachelor of Science in Technology college student.
College ko actually is 2 years online during pandemic and 2 years face to face to
which I am grateful for that. Meeting new teachers and classmates both regular kg
irregular is quite a new level gd sa experience and part man sya of growing up. It is
like a story that only just began and knowing when it will end base sa life choices and
its experience and based on realities na faced without any regrets.
Before I pick Information Technology, there are three key considerations when it
comes in: Time, Scope, and Risk. Everything should be planned before I chose my
course here.
Let us explain time. Time serves as the primary metric for evaluating the value of
the experiences I encounter, shaping how I prioritize life choices and ultimately define
the worth of my existence. While it's crucial to acknowledge that not every moment can
be directly applied to my personal growth, both within and beyond academic realms, I
must remain practical in discerning when and where to invest my time. Failure to do so
risks rendering valuable lessons and encounters futile through neglect or misapplication.
It's a reminder that time is a finite resource, and squandering it is a luxury I cannot
afford. Thus, I must approach each opportunity with a strategic mindset, ensuring that
my actions align with my goals and aspirations.
Next is scope. Scope refers to the boundaries within which our potential can
flourish, akin to the limitations we encounter that must align with our capabilities. It's
about focusing on learning that's relevant, leveraging our strengths, and aligning with
our objectives. By concentrating our efforts on areas that truly matter and resonate
with our overarching goals, we ensure that our journey of growth is purposeful and
directed.
Within this defined scope, the emphasis is on quality over quantity. Rather than
trying to cover everything superficially, we delve deep into pertinent aspects, fostering a
more profound and meaningful development of our potential. This strategic focus allows
us to prioritize what's essential, recognizing that depth is more impactful than breadth
in our pursuit of knowledge and skill acquisition.
And lastly is Risk. Risk is akin to the adage "Pick your Poison," embodying the
potential to either elevate or undermine the value of the college course I've chosen.
Embracing risk often demands sacrifices, requiring a willingness to confront challenges
and navigate difficulties with caution. While it's impossible to completely evade risk,
prudent measures can be taken to mitigate its impact or, ideally, prevent it altogether.
And so, here are my experiences in college I have done both online and face to
face.
During the first two years of the pandemic, I faced significant challenges
adjusting to online classes. I struggled with learning the material and found it difficult
to communicate with my classmates in a virtual setting. However, this experience
turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Over time, I was able to form meaningful
connections with my peers and became more adaptable to the online learning
environment.
The transition wasn't easy and required a lot of effort. I had to develop new
strategies to effectively manage my projects and assignments across all my subjects. By
experimenting with different approaches and finding what worked best for me, I was
able to achieve success in my academic endeavors. This period of adjustment taught
me valuable lessons in flexibility, perseverance, and collaboration, which have been
crucial to my personal and academic growth.
I also encountered teachers who were quite strict, but I managed to comply with
their expectations and submit my work before the deadlines. Among my classmates, I
met a mix of new faces, old acquaintances from senior high school, and some familiar
ones. I often met them in various situations where my help was needed, and through
these interactions, I befriended many of them as acquaintances.
In the dynamic landscape of group work, challenges inevitably arise, and fairness
isn't always guaranteed. However, I'm adept at navigating these complexities,
leveraging creativity and adaptability to overcome obstacles. My commitment to
fostering an environment of mutual respect and collaboration remains unwavering,
driving me to find innovative solutions and uphold the principles of fairness and equity
in all endeavors.
Over the past four years, I've experienced considerable personal growth, both
academically and personally. I've become adept at steering clear of negative habits and
consistently prioritize my studies and family, drawing inspiration from them. Assisting
my classmates in reaching their academic goals brings me joy, as long as it doesn't lead
to any negative consequences. I've gained a deep understanding of the various
behaviors exhibited by both my peers and teachers, whether they're adventurous,
reckless, or inexperienced. Though I may express concern at times, I've learned to
navigate the surprises and challenges within the school environment with resilience and
adaptability.
My experiences, both past and present, have taught me valuable lessons in risk
management and strategic planning. I've learned how to mitigate risks when they
cannot be entirely prevented, applying these skills to both my academic work and daily
life. Whether dealing with short-term tasks or long-term goals, I employ careful tactics
and strategies to navigate challenges effectively.
This approach helps me make sound decisions, such as selecting the right team
members and planning projects well in advance. Every action I take, whether for
immediate or future purposes, involves thorough examination and strategic thinking.
This disciplined approach is not just a skill but a crucial path I must follow to achieve
my goals and succeed in various aspects of life.
Graduation marks not the end, but a new beginning filled with opportunities. I
intend to approach these opportunities practically, applying my knowledge beyond the
confines of the classroom. My journey will undoubtedly involve trial and error, but I am
committed to this process as part of my quest for continual improvement and
meaningful change.
Guard against the allure of escapism into fictional realms, recognizing that
college is not a playground or a scripted narrative but a platform for crafting your
individual story and refining your unique personality. Embrace the tangible realities of
the world around you, recognizing that true success stems from a grounded
understanding of actuality rather than an indulgence in fantasy.
Avoid the pursuit of popularity for its own sake, whether within academic spheres
or broader social circles, as it often leads to shallow fulfillment and fleeting recognition.
Instead, focus on fostering genuine connections and making substantive contributions
that leave a lasting impact on both yourself and those around you.
While the depth of this advice may initially appear daunting, remember that
thorough preparation and self-awareness are indispensable assets for navigating the
complexities of college life and beyond. Your journey is inherently yours to define, and
the decisions you make today will undoubtedly shape the contours of your tomorrow.
As I navigate the post-graduation phase of my life, I'm confronted with a
whirlwind of changes that often make it difficult to discern where my priorities lie.
However, I've come to recognize the significance of making discerning choices to chart
a course towards a more fulfilling future, one devoid of regret. This journey often
necessitates difficult sacrifices, such as parting ways with past chapters and toxic
relationships, yet these sacrifices pave the way for a brighter tomorrow.
I extend heartfelt gratitude to my family, relatives, and all those who contributed
to my success as a college graduate. To my college peers, though our paths may
diverge for now, I anticipate our eventual reunion on the road to an even brighter
future. The collegiate experience was indeed a worthwhile endeavor, where embracing
risks catapulted me to new heights in pursuit of greater rewards. Each encounter, every
skill acquired, serves as a lifelong lesson in my ongoing quest for personal development,
transcending the confines of academia.
