1. Objective

In any profession or occupation, it is important for all of us to recognize the high value of creativity in
all knowledge-based society.

Asia Invention Association (AIA) and the Korea Invention News (KINEWS) are proudly hosting 2021
The 7th WORLD INVENTION INNOVATION CONTEST WIC 2021.

Creativity is the key to successful birth of ideas from world inventors in all academic fields and
industries, regardless of major and studies.

In WIC 2021 student inventors, individual inventors, innovators and research scientists can fully
express their creativity and innovative ability to invent new ideas, and our event is the festival where
you can prove your creative side to the world.

COVID-19 WIC Recruitment Guide

2021 The 7th WORLD INVENTION INNOVATION CONTEST

All inventors, innovators, students, professors and entrepreneurs are invited.

1. WIC is hosting the awards ceremony online for COVID-19.

2. The Korea Invention News (KINEWS) has decided to follow social methods to prevent the
spread of COVID-19, and so the event will be proceeded online without a physical function.

3. Overseas inventors will receive award certificates, medals and other prizes by EMS
international airmail to their designated mailing addresses.

4. WIC Entry Fee: The required fee will be stated in the invoice. Upon your remittance, the
event awards will be placed for international delivery by EMS airmail.

2. Basis
 To identify and exercise the latest technologies and creative ideas from inventors
around the world to aid inventors’ passion and desire to invent for the development of
our living life and society

improve their ability to invent and articulate daily-live problems into effective
solutions all for the development of intellectual properties

4-Evaluation & Awards

2. Evaluation Standards
A. Method of Evaluation: Without the actual display of inventions, all evaluation is
dependent on the entry form contents provided/submitted by the applicants.
B. Evaluation Criteria: The highest weight of mark will be placed on the “key idea” of
the invention. The invention’s novelty, technological aspects, practicality, completeness
and marketability will be thoroughly assessed for accumulating the total mark.
C. Notification of the submitted application documents’ assessment will be provided by
email. Please make sure to provide drawings, invention photos, and experimental data
for clear evaluation.

3. Evaluation Regulations

 A. Any ideas copied off from an already-existing knowledge base will be automatically
disqualified from the competition based on the prior registered technology research
B. Any deprived inventions of the copied model, others’ creative ideas will be
permanently disqualified from competition and its future editions

When you receive the medals and certificates by EMS, please be careful of voice
phishing and spam mails.
Money transfer case to the voice phishing.
First, you have to check the invoice. You can find the account number and account
holder’s name in application guide, fake invoice is different from the original invoice. The
spam mail produced by their own server system, and make email as same as email address
with KINEWS such as kinews5@naver.com
