1 GENERAL

1.1 Purpose

This document has been issued to simplify engineering documentation and provide a consolidated
location for FCA US Engineers and Suppliers to review the Engineering Mandatory and Discretionary
Standards for all FCA US design components.

1.2 Coverage of this Standard

This document contains the mandatory and Discretionary FCA US Engineering Standards that are
required for the design and release of all FCA US components. Applying this standard to a FCA US
component Part Information Page (PIP) confirms that all standards that are listed as mandatory are
adhered to by all parties concerned with the design and production of the FCA US component. Each
discretionary standard must be reviewed for relevance to the component being developed and ADDED to
the PIP documentation as defined in CS.00079.
This document is not the complete list of the discretionary standards that are required for the design or
production of a component. It is the responsibility of the FCA US Engineer to ensure that any additional
standards have been appropriately identified in the documentation for releasing the component per
CS.00079.

4 REGULATED SUBSTANCES, RECYCLABILITY & CYBERSECURITY

All materials, procedures, processes, components, or systems must conform to the current regulatory
(governmental) requirements reagarding regulated substances and recyclability, flammability and
CyberSecurity.

5 MANDATORY ENGINEERING STANDARD REQUIREMENTS

Table 2 contains the list for all FCA US mandatory Performance (PF), Process (PS), Corporate
Engineering Publication (CEP) and Characteristic (CS) Standards that are a requirement for every
component. CEP-045 will automatically be included on the PIP for releasing a FCA US component. The
FCA US Releasing Engineer must make certain that all standards listed here as mandatory are being
adhered to.

This Engineering document will be updated periodically. FCA US Engineers and Suppliers can create a
User Profile within the BeStandard database, which will notify them, via e-mail, when a document has
been updated.

6 DISCRETIONARY ENGINEERING STANDARDS NECESSITATING A REVIEW

Table 3 contains the standards that shall be evaluated by the FCA US Releasing Engineer to determine if
they are applicable to their component. The applicable Discretionary Engineering Standards shall then
be added to the PIP prior to releasing the part for production. (Refer to CS.00079 for instructions on how
to add Engineering Standards.)
