1 GENERAL
1.1 Purpose
This document has been issued to simplify engineering documentation and provide a consolidated
location for FCA US Engineers and Suppliers to review the Engineering Mandatory and Discretionary
Standards for all FCA US design components.
This document contains the mandatory and Discretionary FCA US Engineering Standards that are
required for the design and release of all FCA US components. Applying this standard to a FCA US
component Part Information Page (PIP) confirms that all standards that are listed as mandatory are
adhered to by all parties concerned with the design and production of the FCA US component. Each
discretionary standard must be reviewed for relevance to the component being developed and ADDED to
the PIP documentation as defined in CS.00079.
This document is not the complete list of the discretionary standards that are required for the design or
production of a component. It is the responsibility of the FCA US Engineer to ensure that any additional
standards have been appropriately identified in the documentation for releasing the component per
CS.00079.

This is not the complete list of Discretionary Engineering Standards that are utilized for a production part.
The responsible FCA US Releasing Engineer will include any additional Engineering Standards, as
required, to fully define the usage and application of this component, including all Material Standards
(MS). Refer CS.00079 for instructions on how to add Engineering Standards.
