ALSWIND Alstom Performed FE analysis to investigate the stress results and Displacements of Structural Components of Alstoms Wind turbines. The main aim was to check whether the stresses are within the permissible limits and further Calculate Safety factor to meet the entire design criterion. Calculation of damage and Fatigue Safety Factor to study the Fatigue Behaviour of Wind Turbine Components
Description of Project
Role
Engineer Study of inputs. Pre-processing Finite element modeling of the various Nacelle components, Creating connections and meshing the model with second order elements in Ansys Workbench. Applying Aerodynamic loads and boundary conditions to the model. Post-processing Linear and Non-Linear analysis were carried out to know the stresses at all the critical regions of the Wind Turbine Ansys, Ncode, Solidworks, order to validate whether they are within the Nacelle Components in MS permissible limits. Fatigue analysis is carried out to Fatigue nature of DOS, Windows 95/98/2000/NT/7 the component. 2-DPreparingModeling, Assembly design. were sent to the customer in and 3-D technical report The results the form of a Certification report describing the suggested changes Preand improvements to Condition, Load, Mesh) and Post Processing Processing (Boundary stress and damage regions to support the (Job and Analysis) design department. Keeping trackof International standards i.e. ISO, Ecotenica Basic knowledge of defect logs for the entire team and carrying out defect analysis on a quarterly basis.
