Adolescence

During her adolescence,

Saint Thérèse experienced a
series of tragic events. At the age
of 15, her mother died from
breast cancer, and shortly after,
her family relocated to Lisieux,
France. The difficulties did not
end there; soon after her
mother's passing, her father
received a diagnosis of cerebral
arteriosclerosis due to a stroke,

Adulthood
Saint Thérèse of Lisieux's
adulthood was filled with
challenges. She had to obtain a
special permission from the Pope
to become a Carmelite nun due
to her young age, showing her
unwavering commitment to her
faith. Amid her religious journey,
she faced mistreatment from
other nuns but persevered.
Tragically, she battled
tuberculosis privately and spent
her final days in prayer. Thérèse's
