Starter 1. Pupils stand in a circle.
 A pupil is asked to start the game and point to her/his desk and
say That’s ___’s desk.
 The activity is repeated.
 Pupils take turns to say name of two pupils standing next to them
and find books, pens or notebooks that belong to them.

success criteria to be achieved and their relevance to the topic of the
lesson.
3. Pupils listen to teacher’s explanation of the learning content.
4. Pupils carry out activity.
 Pupils look at the examples and complete the rules with singular
and plural in Activity 1.
 Pupils read the Language note. Help pupils to notice the sound of
apostrophe ‘s’. Ask: is it /s/ or /z/? Pupils repeat: teacher’s, Harry’s
and Eva’s. Can they hear the /z/ sound?
 Pupils do Activity 2 then in pairs take turns to say the phrases.
 Pupils listen to an audio of two people talking on a phone.
Main Activities  Pupils read the three sentences in Activity 3 aloud.
 Pupils listen for the correct words at end of these sentences.
 Pupils listen to the audio and choose the correct answers (CD 1-
08).
 Pupils read and complete the table in Activity 4.
 In pairs, pupils take turns to listen and respond to their partner’s 3
questions about places: Am I __? Are you __? Is (classmate’s
name) __?
5. Pupils complete the exercise based on the topic that has been
discussed.
6. Pupils in group, place some of their personal classroom objects in
middle of a desk or table.
 Pupils take turns to say: That’s (name of pupil) _______’s (noun)
Plenary ___. If they are correct, they give the object back to the pupil who
owns it.
7. Pupils listen to teacher’s conclusion and summaries from the whole of
today’s learning.
