EXAMINATIONS

Our mid-year and mock examinations will run from Monday, 27 June to Friday, 8 July inclusively. Please
assist children to fully prepare for the examinations.

On Friday, 8 July there will be a few examinations and all students without examinations on that day will
be allowed to stay at home. The examinations will end at 10.30 a.m. and students will be allowed
to leave. Teachers will have a staff development programme from 11.00 a.m.
FUN / GOLF DAY

The School Development Committee is organising a Fun and Golf Day on 1 October 2022. The aim is
to start raising money for tarring the College approach road and paving the car park. The SDC
requires our full support and we hope that you will bring family and friends of the College, in order for
the event to be a success.

We are aware that some parents had paid for the Golf Tournament which failed to take place due to
the COVID-19 pandemic. Your payment is still valid and the SDC will advise you.

We kindly ask all those of our parents and their friends who are golfers to register with the school
early enough. You will be advised of the required payments before the end of this term.

SPONSORED WALK

We expect to complete the construction of the College Multi-Purpose Hall before the end of October
2022. It is our wish to have our Prize Giving and Speech Night this year in the new hall. However, we
need suitable chairs for the hall, and we are going to fundraise through a Sponsored Walk. We have
given each child a Sponsored Walk sheet to raise a minimum of at least USD20. The sponsored walk
sheets are supposed to be returned to the SDC before 9 September 2022. There will be a penalty of
USD$40 for all sheets that are lost or not returned by the due date. We hope that students will raise
more than USD20 each.

The Sponsored Walk will take place in the morning on 1 October 2022. We also appeal for donations
from parents. Students are invited to donate for a chair that will be engraved with their name.

STANDARD OF DRESS (UNIFORMS)

We expect a very high standard of dress for all our students and this is not what we have at the
moment. Students must be neat and clean at all times. School blazers are compulsory and are to be
worn as students come and leave the College.

The College can only achieve the high standards of dress with the parents’ assistance. We, therefore,
kindly ask all parents to help us ensure that blazers are clean with all buttons sown, make sure
uniforms are of the correct size and adequate pairs of uniforms are available.

BOYS HAIRCUTS Rochell Chitambira

These should be short, simple, well combed, neat and controlled. Any extreme undercut hairstyle and
other fancy hair styles are not accepted. A barber will be invited to the school to correct any
unacceptable haircut at the student’s expense.
GIRLS HAIR EXTENSIONS

Girls hair extensions must be shoulder length when neatly tied into a ponytail. The hair extensions must
match the colour of hair. No colouring / tinting of hair is allowed.

EDUCATIONAL TRIP TO DUBAI

We are currently working with the Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management to organise a seven-day
educational trip to Dubai in November 2022. The trip will mainly involve Forms one, two and three
students who will participate in an exciting short course in Dubai. The program is a Leadership,
Entrepreneurship, Etiquette, Business and Hospitality discovery course for one week.

There will be a presentation to Forms one, two and three students from the organisers on Wednesday, 22
June 2022 from 2.00 p.m. to 3.00 p.m. at the Primary School Hall. Further information will be provided
once there are students who indicate their interest to participate.
